It seems the new concern of our great republic is the one who’s been here all along… the one who loves America but, is now very concerned for our future. US citizens are making preparations. They see terms like “fiscal cliff” and hear the mass media talk about “depression” and recession.” They have witnessed first hand the devastation left by violent storms and countries ravaged by war and want to be sure their family is protected at all cost. They want to be “preppers.” There is even a new popular reality show that depicts prepping as a norm and shows us all how to do it.
The scene below would make you think a bomb threat had occured or a dangerous criminal was shooting helpless victims at some distant college campus. FALSE! They, along with a tactical team numbering in the hundreds were merely executing a search warrant in Sharpsburg, MD.
Here is a letter written by an anonymous person who witnessed the events.
We the people of Sharpsburg, MD would like to make a statement about events in which occurred on Thursday, Nov. 29th. Our tiny town was invaded by 200+ state police, SWAT, FBI and border patrol agents. The residents communicated through social media and by stopping in the local gas station to find out that a manhunt was going on for a resident by the name of Terry Porter. He is a friend, a hard worker and a well liked person in Sharpsburg. We were all in shock. Rumors floated that he was making bombs in his underground shelter and we stood back and watched as the Boy Scout camp was overrun as a “staging area” for law enforcement. Cars that drove by reported camouflage, bullet proof vests, lots of high powered assault type guns, helicopters, and armored vehicles. Mills Rd. was completely shut down and children’s school buses, residents who lived in the area and family of the man being searched for were unable to access. Residents were told to remain indoors.
As the afternoon progressed, we wanted to help Terry. We overwhelmingly felt helpless that our friend was a victim somehow and that he did not deserve what was happening to him and his wife and children. Someone reported an excavator was traveling down the road followed by armored vehicles and that they were going to dig him out. Others reported seeing an armored tractor trailer followed by several armored vehicles and black police vans head toward Mills Rd . We were so scared for Terry and couldn’t imagine what his family must be thinking. Members of the community traveled down to Mills Rd. in an attempt to plead with the police presence to please let us talk with him and get him out safely. They said they trusted Terry and know he wouldn’t hurt anyone. Our attempts were denied and everyone who attempted was forced to leave. Those who were at the scene reported portable chemical showers in place and insane amounts of law officials.
As afternoon became night, social media became more active and we wanted to organize a group to go down and speak louder our feelings. About that time, the police pulled out and left. We were confused but relieved. They concluded that Terry wasn’t even home the entire time. They also said that his wife and children were. Family reported that the Porter home was ravaged and property destroyed. As they pulled out, we were all so thankful that a tragedy hadn’t occurred but became more angry of the excessive force used in this situation. The WHAG news reported that the police had called off their “manhunt” for the “potentially armed person” who is an “avid hunter” and a “survivalist.” They apparently had the opportunity to speak with many of the locals and mentioned on TV that Terry “sounds like a really nice guy.” That snippet has been deleted and now channel 7 news is reporting the same old rhetoric which makes Terry appear like a terrorist and a threat to society which is untrue. In fact, the only guns in the home were hunting rifles and shotguns like most of our small town who are full of “avid hunters” and whom are “potentially armed.” There were NO bombs or bomb making material. Terry had no plans of attacking or had threatened anyone. He does have an underground shelter that is no secret here in Sharpsburg. The last I checked that wasn’t illegal. He did have a felony conviction some 30 years ago which legally prevented him from owning any weapons so Terry was later charged with those crimes… after he turned himself in peacefully on Friday morning. The town is left with feeling helpless and angry after this whole mess. Hundreds of thousands of tax payers’ dollars were wasted. We, including Terry Porter, are hardworking people just trying to make ends meet. This was absolute overkill and totally wrong. The police had a search warrant and nothing else. They terrorized this town with their speeding trucks and armed troops and it’s a miracle a tragedy such as Waco or Ruby Ridge did not occur.

At what point do we stand up and say, Hey! This isn’t right! Someone could’ve been killed and demand to know who made this kind of call.. to stomp the ant with the sledge hammer? I’ll tell you when. When it happens to your neighbor or your family or your friend or you. We are taking a stand here in Sharpsburg. Similar situations are happening all over the country. I am sick of being labeled and accused and invaded. We have rights and the government is here for the people!! Let us never forget that.

Last summer there was a gang fight between mexican gangs right in front of my house, two of them were shot, one from each rival gang and there were only two cops that showed up AFTER all the mexicans had left the area. I went outside to talk to the cops and they pointed guns at me telling me to go back inside. So, here in what used to be America, there are people who have “rights”, but it’s NOT the Americans. There is no longer JUSTICE in this country, it’s JUST US! Obama is going to ensure that he destroys what is left in this nation and shortly after he has his “secret” inauguration, he will show you just how a real dick-tater rules a nation.

The stupid author supports the gov’ts illegal contention that when it designates someone with some type of court manufactured label,.. those persons have lost the “right to bear arms”,… INCORRECT.
No matter what history you have,… you HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN FIREARMS,.. PERIOD, BAR NONE!
Remeber: One of the ways the gov’t is disarming people,.. is to simply give them a Court-Manufatured label,…. and then they say you cannot own any type of firearm (or weapon for that matter!).

Hi JD. You’re absolutely correct in your assessment according to the 2nd amendment. Here is one of the major problems as I see it.
Even though I haven’t watched t.v. in years, I do, however, continually see advertisements for new “programs” on billboards, buses, etc. The vast majority of these “programs” are either cop shows or other so-called ‘government’ agencies, ALWAYS portrayed as the “good guys”, and as such, virtually infallible AND indestructible.
This is designed to reinforce the sheeples’ perception that any resistance is futile.
It appears to be working very well.

I believe we had a very similar discussion a couple of weeks ago on a post titled ” 25 reasons american will never be disarmed “. I responded to that post saying ” the public would surrender their weapons with not much more than a wimper “, much like what happened here. Look at all the people who watched this happen and did nothing, well they made a facebook page to protest the assault. Would a facebook protest be considered a wimper?
I also feel that when they come for the individual americans firearms, that they will come just like they did here. First they will ask you to voluntarily turn in your guns. When you don’t turn them in, you will get a search warrant team and they will search everywhere.
As for the condescension towards the police involvement. Since 9/11 the police have been training to do exactly what they did. They where told by their superiors that there was a terrorist in that house and he that had threatened the POTUS. They acted accordingly and justifiably for the information they were given. Had the information been correct and they stopped a real terrorist attack they would be as honored as Seal Team 6. We need to stop jumping on the individual police officers back for doing his job. The blame goes to those in command, the people at the top caused this maylay.
As for the people of the area watching and doing nothing, they can’t really be blamed either. They were fed the same disinformation the police were told. Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist.

My plan – leo bourne – is to play it by ear. you should know the surroundings where you are at, and make sure you know who your freinds are. keep rifle loaded and ready to go, along with a well stocked bug out bag, compleate with a water purifer ya know Be ready to take a life if nered be in one of the more inportant one – just after waterr purifier. They DO have a plan (The “powers”). Do others? I sure there are. Most that I know practice OP-SEC & would never contemplate putting it up on the Internet.
Thing is any plan must be coordinated and not run individually. Any “lone wolf” type plans will ultimately fail as the feds would single out such persons.
I also believe any pockets of resistance scattered across the nation would be harshly dealt with by the military..up to even small tactical nukes and drone strikes.
Ruby Ridge/Waco/Texas Freeman events will be used in the publics eye against non compliant person/s or groups.
I dont see any victory until 20 to 40 million strong make the stand……and it would need to be quick and decisive lest the feds do just as I said above.
Until America stands in large numbers any effort is doomed and will be just like this news article
