      There are plans to put a RFID chip in Eurodollars, and maybe someday soon there will be the same in US dollars. Then even fiat paper pretending to be money will be traceable.

    old debit cards have no chip on them and that makes them easy to counterfeit.
    That is why they are no longer accepted. In many EU countries non-chip cards are not allowed to be used in transactions by law for several years already
