Boots on the Ground

image001
Fort Hood has placed a boot in front of the III Corps building depicting a life lost for the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Each boot has a photo of the soldier, airman, sailor or marine killed, along with their date of birth, date of death, rank, and the campaign in which they were killed.

This is a tradition they plan on doing every year and it will run through Veterans Day. It’s an awesome sight to see in person. It really hits home when you can put a face to the name.

It also puts new meaning to the term “boots on the ground”.

    1. You lose, both on the bet and on the attitude. BG Hildner died in Kabul in 2012, and MG Greene died in Kabul in 2014. LG Maude was killed in the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. A more politically astute question would have been to ask the number of national politicians who have lost their lives in any armed “conflict” or declared war in which the American service members have been engaged. That’s where your attitude should be directed.

      1. I’ll keep the attitude, nonetheless.

I’ve no more use for Zionist military scumbags than I do for Zionist politician scumbags..

        F%&KING TRAITORS, EVERY LAST ONE!!!

With the exception of Smedley Butler.

  1. There s not enough space to put a sandal for each Iraqi or Afganhi. Of course you would then have to put women and childrens footwear on the ground as well.
