Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, invited a rodeo clown banned from the Missouri State Fair for a performance featuring an Obama mask to take the show to the Lone Star State.

“I’m sure any rodeo in Texas would be proud to have performers,” Stockman said in a statement today. “Disagreeing with speech is one thing. Banning it and ordering citizens into reeducation classes for mocking a liberal leader is another.”

The clown wore an Obama mask during a bull-riding competition and asked the crowd if they wanted to see the “Obama” run down by a bull, which the fair called an “unconscionable stunt” in a statement banning the clown from the fair.

“The idea to create a state of fear and make people afraid to trivialize Obama,” Stockman also said.  ”No one tried to personally destroy the rodeo clown who wore a George H.W. Bush mask.”

Charlie Spiering of the Washington Examiner highlighted the “rich tradition of politically-incorrect rodeo clowns” when he recalled the clown who mocked H.W. by posting a dummy of the president for a bull to destroy.

  1. This is good news, because since much of America grew up listening to Johnny Carson (and now Jay Leno) mock the sitting president, and other politicians on a nightly basis, they’ll see this entire rodeo clown incident as the blatant tyranny that it is.

It’s a good wake-up call that might induce a million more people to question what’s going on around them.

  2. This sh!tstorm reminds me of the movie “V for Vendetta” scene when the chancellor gets spoofed on TV.

As for the congressman; azzclown inviting a clown to perform…no news there. He’d get better ratings if he got the NAACP to dance in a circus ring.

  3. After posting this I will be searching the net for my own “Obummer” mask. This rodeo performer isn’t really a “clown” but a very talented rodeo classic. He is more than welcome here in Texas. He is being persecuted for wearing a mask similar to the real “clown”. Been a long time since I have been to a rodeo and I will go to see this gentleman’s performance. It is a sad day in America when the POTUS demonstrates the same behavior as the late dictator Saddam Hussein. It is well known that any criticism of said Iraqi dictator was pretty well a death penalty. Is that the next step for our Nation?

  4. The entire episode is so blatantly ludicrous that it would be entirely laughable, if not for the sad fact that so many of the sheeple will buy into this total b.s.
