Cop filmed choking, slamming 14-year-old boy at Texas high school; staff does nothing

SOTT – by Arturo Garcia, Raw Story

A Round Rock, Texas man plans to press charges against local authorities for choking his 14-year-old son on Thursday and slamming him to the ground at his high school, KXAN-TV reported.

Footage posted online shows two officers questioning the teen, Gyasi Hughes, inside Round Rock High School. One of them can be seen holding Hughes back as he attempts to walk away. That officer then grabs Hughes by the throat and and spins him around before taking him down.

The other officer then joins his colleague in subduing the teen as other unidentified adults — presumably school staff members — can be seen positioning themselves between the officers and other students. Hughes was not arrested, but was suspended from class for a day.

According to KEYE-TV, police said in a statement that the officers had broken up a fight between Hughes and another student, yet Hughes “refused to calm down” and was attempting to resume the altercation, prompting the officer to “detain him for his safety.”

Hughes confirmed that he got into a fight with the other student, accusing him of taking the prescription goggles he uses to play football. He also admitted to taking the other boy’s book bag — which can be seen in the video — in order to look for them.

But he denied authorities’ allegation that he was trying to go after the other student, saying that he was actually upset with the officers for “getting in his face.” The teen’s father, Kashka Hughes, said that he has filed a police report concerning the incident and plans to press charges.

Watch footage of the incident, as posted by KXAN, below.

  1. “yet Hughes “refused to calm down” and was attempting to resume the altercation, prompting the officer to “detain him for his safety.”

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I don’t see this kid resuming ANYTHING and it doesn’t look in any way like they were “detaining him for his safety”. More like he was running away for HIS safety from them.

Round Rock, TX cops strike again! What do I always tell you people. These guys are the worst of the worst. The Gestapo of the Gestapo. You either obey them or they will slam you to the ground, tase you, and arrest you for no reason other than the fact that you are not treating them like god. Ask Round Rock Officer Chris Cox and Sergeant McDaniels or even Internal affairs officer Rey Rodriguez. I’m sure the chief of police will gladly stick up for these thugs since he’s as 100% mafia and Gestapo crooked as they are.

They’re the only police I know who call for TWO more squad cars EVERY time they pull someone over for a simple traffic stop. I’m not kidding. They’re nothing but a gang of thugs with an excessive use of force beyond all doubt.

These bastards followed and extorted 2 grand out of me just for taking my dog to the dog park in retaliation for writing up one of their officers who tased me for no reason months before. When I asked Officer Cox, “So you think you’re god now?” after arresting me without telling me the charge. His response was an evil grin saying, “You know, I don’t know. I guess I am.”

The whole damn force needs to be removed and put behind bars and when I see that happen, I’ll be holding a party at my house in celebration.

  2. By the way, this is your typical reaction of Round Rock residents and teachers. They are completely blind to the excessive use of force and think it is normal. The fat bitch in the video telling everyone to stand back while the police torture this kid is all too familiar. The dumb broads in Round Rock just love cops in uniforms and enjoy watching shows like this. Just ask my apartment owner when I was living there. You’d think she was going to have an orgasm every time she saw a Round Rock officer in uniform come by the area. They just love to bow down to their oppressors.

Yea. Good luck with that. Many have tried and almost zero have succeeded in the massively corrupt town of Round Rock and Williamson county. You know what I got out of it? NOTHING. I spent a night in jail, lost 2 grand on attorney fees to prove my innocence and the bastard Cox gets off free of charge and couldn’t even provide the court with the video footage of the stop BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE IMPLICATED HIM and instead gave footage of a video about a marijuana stop involving a black man.

Hey, I’m WHITE, YOU FRIGGIN’ DUMBASSES!!!!

But does he go to jail or pay any fines? Nooooo…..of course not AND he gets to keep his job and probably got a two week paid vacation.

People in Round Rock have been arrested for not having their license plate hanging the right way on their cars, for cryin’ out loud. I’M NOT KIDDING!

And because of it, one of those guys missed his child being born that night!!!

I hope they all burn in Hell! 😡

  4. Yes NC, I thought you may have an opinion on the subject of Round Rock. That fat tub of lard laying on top of that skrauny kid was more than I would have put up with. I was in high school in the early 70s and we would have kicked the shit out of any fat thug pig trying to pull that shit. Back in those days though, all we had to deal with was a Andy and a Barney.

  5. Killer Clowns…
What’s next cuffing and tasing an infant in a baby carriage ?
The baby puked and burped on the officer.
Stop resisting baby.. ..stop resisting. … stop resisting…!
Then the mother tried to change the baby’s diaper. In which the officer was in.. “Fear for his life” in which he had to tase her and hold her at gun point until another three squad cars showed up late and had to dump their coffee and doughnuts. . and stop screwing the wife of a man’s domestic violence charge who’s husband was in jail. I can’t make this sht up. Truth is stranger than fiction.
    Slimy fks.

  6. “A Round Rock, Texas man plans to press charges against local authorities for choking his 14-year-old son…”

That’s a good way to get their attention.

He’ll be next on their ‘hit’ list.

  7. Sometimes, folks don’t agree with law enforcement in the field and a DNR Warden ends up with a perch up his ass. Ouch gettin’ it out! It had to be surgically removed upon recollection.

  8. What a bunch of shit. It takes a real man to take down a 14 year old. Go ahead dad and press charges, see how far that gets you. A different approach must be taken here, if you know what I mean.

    1. Notice how we had the same initial reaction to the video. I was typing my post while you submitted yours, but we both basically thought, “What a sissy that pig is for using unnecessary force on a kid.” This is how normal, decent people think. It’s basic moral judgment. The police in this country lack it.

  9. Wow, I’m impressed. I wish I could be tough enough to take down a 14-year-old like that.

I don’t know which disgusts me more: the mindless brutality of the pigs, or their failure to recognize their own cowardice and weakness. Seriously, can you imagine that fat pig walking into a bar (without his uniform, badge, or gun) and trying to push people around? People would be lining up to beat his ass. But picking on a young kid while hiding behind a costume and weapons, with a partner standing ready to assist? Oh sure, he can do that.

On a positive note, the kid will grow into an adult who knows the truth about the pigs. So will his friends who witnessed this assault. The more the badged savages act like this, the deeper the hole they dig for themselves.

  10. Cops are a bunch of punks. Anyone else would be ashamed of themselves for hitting a 14 year-old boy, little girls, old ladies, cripples, etc, etc.

These pigs do it all the time, and seem to take a lot of pleasure in these attacks that would shame any normal guy.

  11. “And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
