Cuomo suggests gun law opponents are paranoid

Capitol Confidential – by Jimmy Vielkind

Gov. Andrew Cuomo dismissed the latest lawsuit against the state’s new gun control law, the SAFE Act, as “propaganda” that the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association is using to keep its members in line.

“I think the paralysis in Washington on this issue is sad, frankly. If this nation doesn’t get it after Newtown, Connecticut … people all across the nation are begging their government to respond,” Cuomo, a Democrat, told Susan Arbetter on “The Capitol Pressroom.”

“What the extremists do is spread fear and unrealistic theories of conspiracies and the citizenry that needs to be armed because the government is possibly tyrannical, and they need their arms to defend themselves against the tyrannical government,” Cuomo continued. This is true: at gun rallies, I’ve heard this “slippery slope” line of argument from multiple attendees. They view the right to bear arms as a kind of check against government power.

Malarky, Cuomo said.

“Common sense. Cool heads. Moderation. And remember there’s a majority of people in this state, this nation [that support gun control measures] and they have rights, too. It’s not just the Second Amendment right. People have a right to be safe,” he said. “Criminals and the mentally ill don’t have a right to a gun. They don’t. And you need a system and government regulation to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill.”

The gun law broadened the definition of banned assault weapons, increased penalties for illegal gun possession, reduced public access to gun permit information, and required mental health professionals to report concerns about a gun-owning patient who poses a risk to himself or others. People who own now-banned assault weapons must register them with the state and are limited in where they can sell them. The law also limits, to seven rounds, the amount of ammunition that can be legally contained in a magazine.

“These people are spreading fear because the facts don’t work for them,” Cuomo said.

    BAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA ROLMFAO!!!!! HAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHAAHA!!!!

OMG! That is the funny thing I’ve heard all week.

I think a very special NY Governor is suggesting that he’s a little paranoid that he will find himself surrounded by an armed population soon with no protection.

This is hilarious! It looks like he knows that even the mafia can’t protect him from WE THE PEOPLE.

What people? WHAT PEOPLE???!!!! Show me the people who support your “malarkey” who isn’t paid off by you.

BAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Man I’ve heard people living in a delusional world, but this guy belongs in the deepest level of the looney bin. You know the elite are getting desperate when they try to subvert and twist the truth in their favor, no matter how ridiculous it sounds.

““Common sense. Cool heads. Moderation. And remember there’s a majority of people in this state, this nation [that support gun control measures] and they have rights, too.”

This sounds like something out of a movie, when the bad guy/mafia leader is stuck in the corner with nowhere to run and begging for his life as a group of armed citizenry are pointing their guns at the guy and he says,

“Ok. Ok. I know you’re angry. But let’s be rational here. Let’s use some common sense. You don’t want to do this. This is not you. If you kill me, you lose everything. Look. I can help you. I’ve got lots of money and influence. You help me out and I can make you rich and get you whatever you want. Just please don’t shoot me.”

And as far as the “majority” is concerned, WHERE IS THE MAJORITY???!!!! I don’t see it! MALARKEY!

    WTF???????????

Didn’t I see this guy in Brandon Lee’s movie, “Rapid Fire”?

The character Jake Lo played by Brandon Lee says to the character Antonio Serrano played by Nick Mancuso, after Serrano is defeated, cornered and begs for his life. Jake just stands there and mocks him by saying in a Italian mafia-style voice,

“Tony, Tony….Look at you. You’re sweatin like a pig. All you want to do is get outta here in one piece.”

The same can be said about Cuomo right now. He’s sweatin’ like a pig and all he wants to do is get out in one piece.

  4. Kevin says:

This is called projection. They are the ones who are paranoid.

  5. Alberet says:

NO American will ever voluntarily speak to any “mental health professional” or even their own doctor ever again.
BE WARNED – you WILL be ratted out, they WILL twist your own words against you.
——-“and required mental health professionals to report concerns about a gun-owning patient who poses a risk to himself or others.”
Remember – just being a “gun owner” will be POSING A RISK.

  6. Razrbac says:

being paranoid doesn’t mean you’re wrong

  7. Large Scale Aggressor says:

You have to be crazy not to be a little paranoid these days.

    • rhumstruck says:

      Paranoid? Me?
No. I only do as the voices in my head tell me.
Let me see, there is George, Thomas, Ben, Tench, John, etc.
I don’t call that paranoid, I call that good old common sense.
I certainly do not have the fearful look in my eyes that Huomo or Bloomingidiot do.

  8. John W. says:

Afraid?. Yes we are afraid, of a tyranical government that will stop at nothing to control us through their bullying tactics. How many of our rights have been removed already through the Patriot act?. Just sit back and blame the gun owners, soon or later you’ll wake up to find you were on the wrong side. We are not the enemy, it’s the government and their NWO.

  9. Smilardog says:

You know I can’t look at Cuomo without thinking about that ventriloquist puppet on Twilight Zone years ago. I mean he looks just like him

  10. justsayin says:

Paranoid are the one depriving any one else but themselves from having guns. History proves slavery-like conditions either through taxation or dictatorships after complete disarmament. Paranoid have to be those that trust the thieving, greedy, never-enough types lurking the halls of government. Those seeing themselves in God-like power, without limits over their fellow man. Those that do not know love or decency, patience, humanity, equality or acceptance. These will be your disarmers.

By the way- How does the new Obamacare tax bill on any real estate transaction or increased payroll tax hit you “rich” middle class strugglers?

Oh, we get it alright, moron.

Sand Hoax was the most piss-poor production so far in this parade of obvious false flag events.

” ….people all across the nation are begging their government to respond,”

Yeah, to respond to the soaring unemployment rate.

    Idiot.

    • Smilardog says:

Hey, even Sandy Hoax was brought up at the wedding. Now, everyone was pretty much in agreement that that was a false flag. and I am talking about Red, White, and Blue Flag waivers who would never believe something like that about our government. They were even questioning 911. I am talking blue haired old ladies here, now. The pulse of this nations is waking fast since they did Sandy Hoax and the gun grab. If they pull another one and try to blame it on Patriots, no one is going to believe it anymore… Thats how obvious Sandy Hook and even The Batman shooting was.
