Dairy Queen Employee Shoots and Kills Armed Robber

Guns Save Lives – by Dan Cannon

A Dairy Queen employee in Albuquerque, New Mexico had to use a concealed firearm to defend himself and his co-workers from an armed robber yesterday evening.

According to the Albuquerque Journal,

[BCSO spokesman Sgt. Aaron Williamson] said the man went to the Dairy Queen’s window with a gun and demanded money. The cashier gave him money and ducked behind the counter. The man then asked for more money. That’s when a different restaurant employee, “in fear of his own life,” fired at the robber, he said.

The man was struck at least once and died after being transported to University of New Mexico Hospital.

The employee is not expected to face any charges in the case as of right now. Authorities did say they are investigating to see if the employee was carrying the gun legally.

Witnesses say that as many as five shots were fired. Police say the suspect did not fire his gun during the robbery.

The identity of the suspect has not yet been released.

This is the 12th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of New Mexico and the 1,274th defensive gun use we’ve documented overall.

  1. It’s immoral to deprive a person of the means to defend his life, the life of another, his property or his virtue. Any state with a lick of sense would make it as easy as possible for everyone to carry. NM has open carry and it would be a waste of the taxpayers money to prosecute the employee. He did the right thing.

No peace officer could have been there to prevent innocents from being injured. It probably isn’t even in the job description.

  2. “Authorities did say they are investigating to see if the employee was carrying the gun legally.”

Umm…2nd Article to the Bill of Rights? Do they not teach the police this in the academy anymore?

Well, of course! I mean that’s the most important thing. Not that the guy saved lives or that he did the right thing. No clearly not. That evil gun thing is sooo much more important.

After all, only the police can shoot someone. If everyone starts doing the policeman’s job, then it makes them look bad. I mean seriously, who is this guy taking the law into his own hands? How dare he?!! Only those that work for Big Brother/The King can have a license to shoot and own a gun. (sarcasm)

It’s all a part of the illegal/unconstitutional/treasonous enforcement of the UN Small Arms Treaty Disarmament that they are trying to enforce even though they could not get it signed and ratified because We the people don’t want it.

    Hang ’em all!!

Somebody needs to work on their aim.

At least the one that did hit him was fatal.
