Detained in America

Daily Paul – by High with Attitude  “Am I being detained?” Powerful words.

I was on a Greyhound this morning after a 12 hour trip and was really looking forward to getting off the bus. As we pulled up to the terminal, my final destination, I saw a couple of uniformed figures headed toward the bus. The driver announced we should all keep our seats.

One guy in some kind of security service uniform and a city cop climbed on and said that in an effort to curb drugs and money smuggling they wanted us to get off one by one, set down our carry-ons and step away while they let a dog sniff it. Then they asked if there any questions.

I was seated 6 or so rows back and I asked, “Are we were being detained?” No response at all.

They started their little operation and, it was slow. When I finally reached the bottom of the steps I saw the guy in front of me had just put down his bags and was stepping well away as ordered.

I stopped and held up my bags shoulder high and again asked, “Am I being detained?” I looked directly at the officers as I said it. Again, no response.

So I said, “Well I guess I’m free to go.”

I stepped off the bus and noticed all the people who had already been sniffed were all standing there instead of going into the terminal.

I stopped and said, “You know we don’t have to put up with this right?”

Then I went ahead and headed for the door. A moment later I heard the local cop yell for me to come back. I saw him coming so I just stopped and let him approach.

Then he tried a little escalation technique telling me to shut up or I’d be charged with disorderly conduct. Then he called me a “f__ker” or something and stalks off.

I yelled after him, “Who’s being disorderly now?”

Then I went on about my business. I hope everyone who witnessed the event learned something.

If you don’t exercise your freedoms, you don’t have any freedom.

  1. …good for you….I’m following the same behavior…if they try that with me…screw them…take me to jail…I’m a 52 year-old epileptic with horrific tonic-clonic seizures..on a daily basis…I’ll sit on the floor and do nothing …force them to appoint twenty medical people to watch me and cost them millions of dollars..and that is before I’ll sue them…I know at some point none of that will matter and they’ll begin trying to beat us or something…but they may not want the show to go hot either…they cannot even control a mob of Libyans who want their country back…without killing a bunch of souls…so we shall see..

      1. …one of the “good things” about being deathly ill…it helps to define what is important in one’s life…though I’ve been fighting idiotic corruption for most of my life…when you’ve already been “dead” a few times from multiple grande-mal seizures…, it really releases you from very much tangible worry…not that I’m pursuing hardship, but I’m not going to take crap from fascists overlords…for whom I worked for over twenty years and was a federally “protected whistle-blower” …(Ha!)…no..I’ve seen the corruption first hand and it is not pretty…and since I survived the 70mph dive off the 200 foot cliff in 2010…I’m even more free to tell them to shove it…liars…war-criminals and traitors all of them… we need to build a National Gallows for American Values and start impeaching, arresting, charging and convicting these people of war-crimes and treason…then we need to begin hanging them at ground zero 911 NYC…future home of the National Gallows for American values…

  2. I suppose they could answer, “no, you’re free to go, we’re just trampling on the 4th Amendment rights of people who don’t know any better because we’re anti-American scum.”

In the meantime, We The People should start training tungsten sniffing dogs! If they want to “escalate”, let’s escalate the whole thing – all cards on the table, warts and all!!

    1. …it is already being “escalated”…look around…are they building a FEMA holding unit in your area yet? Watch out for the temp buildings they have to erect to create a holding pen..before everyone goes off to the big FEMA Camps…I say burn them all to the ground…as quickly as they can be built..burn them to the ground…the Federal Judge just ruled them Unconstitutional…burn them to the ground as soon as they try to begin building them in your neighborhood…

    2. “we’re anti-American scum.”

Hasn’t that been Orwellianized to the pathetic excuse of :

“We’re just doing our “job” ?

Yeah, we have a small tear in the corner of our eyes, when we hear our proud national hymn, When we see that glorious stars and stripes high above us in the flagpole. Yes, we proudly boast to foreigners about our Constitution and our God Given Rights that are encoded in the Bill of rights as RESTRICTIONS to government power, and no one can touch.

But that is only valid when we are not on the job.

When we are on the job, we dead stop being proud individuals called Americans. We put on the uniforms and adhere mentally to the dogma, while acting as mindless zombiefied slaves that execute thoughtlessy the orders from above from the people in the know and that have actually read the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, and thus know the difference between inalienable and unalienable rights, and thus know why they should and would be hung as traitors, if the word would get out, that would start the famous fan, when the mindless slaves finally start thinking for themselves…

OK now I line them up in front of the .50 and you start pulling the trigger until they all are flat on the floor.. Yeah, its like bowling.. You like Bowling? Its virtually the same. Oh, I put in that freedom Award for you. It comes with a 5 cent raise. You like that, don’t you?
How about that, you do your patriotic duty, you get a raise and a medal. Your kids are going to be so proud of you.

      1. …not me…I worked for DoD for almost twenty-five years…and realized about a year into the job…
I realized just how corrupt all of it was…from the smallest of tasks to huge government corruption …corrupt, corrupt, corrupt… so I did not lay down or shut up…I stood up for over twenty years…filed my own EEO, ADA, No Fear Act, overtime complaints..won a designation as a federal whistle-blower…as silly as that is…but I turned in my bosses for every corrupt act you could imagine…(running a brothel out of a mobile Burger-King Bus in Hungary)…ha! So not everyone just accepts the crap and “puts on the uniform”…but I’ll agree that not enough stand up and say,..”what…you want me to do what…?”

…screw the corrupt government…disengage as much as you can…

  3. Drugs and money smuggling? Is it an offence in the USA now to carry any quantity of money across a state line?
Another aspect to this – a very large percentage of bank notes in circulation are tainted with narcotics, which could be detected by a sniffer dog, so if you have cash in your bag, the dog may indicate a positive. The police will then arrest you and seize the money. Sure, they’ll have to let you go soon after due to lack of evidence linking you to drugs, but you may have to fight through legal channels to get the money back that they seized.
Maybe the local PD is running a bit of a budget deficit and throught they’d try a bit of highway robbery!

    1. Why do you think they have those stripes in paper money, why do you think that a bank has questions if you try to draw out $10,000. out of your account? It`s been that way for a long time!

  4. I’d like to know what city this took place because I just ended an extended vacation traveling on a ‘discovery pass’ and I have some horror stories about the new depot in Sacramento CA.

  5. Thank you to RJ O’Guillory for your great spirit of Freedom and Liberty and for love of our country. We need more like you!! I love your YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/RJOGuillory

Thanks Henry for posting this Detained in America story. I am printing it out and sharing is with all the people I know who still believe the government is here to protect them.

Have a Blessed day all …..

  6. And the story could just have easily ended with you lying in a pool of blood after “attempting to charge the officer with a [planted] weapon.” Mysteriously, in the surveillance heavy bus terminal, all cameras were malfunctioning that day.

Don’t think it can’t won’t happen, as it already has in the US. “Contempt of Cop” is a capital crime these days, especially since they’re all “heroes” post 9/11.

  7. Freedom – Well done for helping to nourish it. Well to be honest, you pretty much took it out for a slap up meal. Thanks.
