FBI issues reward for assault-style weapon, handgun stolen from agency vehicle

Washington Post

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward to help retrieve an assault-style weapon, a handgun and other equipment that was stolen July 10 from an agency vehicle that was parked along the H Street corridor in Northeast Washington.

Authorities said that the vehicle — a Ford Expedition — was locked and that someone smashed a rear window and took a secured gun lock box. The agent reported the missing items to police about 7:50 a.m.; the FBI said they think the break-in occurred between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m.

The missing items include a Rock River Arms LAR-15 rifle, similar to an AR-15; a Glock-22 handgun; a holster; a collapsible baton; pepper spray; two boxes of .40 caliber ammunition; protective head and eye gear; and a black TruckVault gun box.

Also in the box was a Motorola radio. The FBI says that after the theft, the channels were descrambled, rendering the radio useless.

The FBI said in a statement that its agency along with D.C. police are “working to locate these weapons and remove them from the possession of the untrained individuals who may have them.”

Anyone with information about the weapon or other items is urged to call the FBI’s Washington field office at 202-278-2000.

  1. Rock River Arms, eh? I’m glad at least someone in the FBI doesn’t know the difference between a hobby-grade AR and a fighting-grade AR.

Then again, how often does anyone in the FBI get into a prolonged firefight? Especially as an individual as opposed to a member of a big gang?

*** The FBI said in a statement that its agency along with D.C. police are “working to locate these weapons and remove them from the possession of the untrained individuals who may have them.” ***

Yeah, because the Fascists Burning Infants are soooo well-trained. Maybe if they mean trained to obedience like dogs…

This is not true as these radios are programmable and can be used on other frequencies/channels not just the de-scrambled aka open channels or non encrypted rather than scrambled or encrypted channels the “fbi” uses, the writer has it backwards on this. The radios can be programed via signal and it can be shut down via Motorola OTAR Over The Air Re-keying feature.

  2. The Feds Lie , they don’t pay up
Chances are if you “found” this and turned it in you’d be charged
The Feds have ditched reward $ payouts on BS technicalities many times

If someone “found” this their best bet is to take it apart
    Destroy the lower
And use the parts if not marked
Or just completely melt it down
If they can’t keep track of thier shit , they don’t deserve to get it back
If we don’t properly secure our guns we get a ton of heat from the man about it , so they should suck on their own policies

  3. “working to locate these weapons and remove them from the possession of the untrained individuals who may have them.”

‘Untrained’ meaning anyone who may use them AGAINST those commie faggots.

“Authorities said that the vehicle — a Ford Expedition — was locked and that someone smashed a rear window and took a secured gun lock box.”

And we’re expected to believe this expensive vehicle did NOT have an alarm???

Methinks the owner may have been a tad short on cocaine & hooker cash.

  4. “remove them from the possession of the untrained individuals who may have them”…starting with the entire fbi and all lea agencies.

  5. I guess they’re not going to mention the sex toys and blow up doll that were stolen in the lockbbox too.
