ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A federal search warrant affidavit outlines the massive raid that seized nearly 1,500 firearms from the home and business of an Albuquerque man and why the feds were after him.

Last week rifles lined the lawn of a northeast Albuquerque home that belonged to Robert Adams. Homeland Security Investigations was also busy loading hundreds of handguns into boxes.

It took federal agents days to log every weapon seized into evidence.

Four search warrants filed Thursday show the HSI investigators seized nearly 900 firearms from Adams’ home. There were 548 handguns and 317 rifles listed in the warrant return inventory.

They also searched his office that day taking 599 pistols and revolvers.

Adams has not been charged with any crimes although Homeland Security said the investigation is not over yet.

Neighbors said Adams was a gun collector, and some heard he was a licensed gun seller, too.

Federal investigators confirm that. However, they’re also investigating him for possible gun smuggling, tax evasion and violating importation laws.

Court documents reveal federal agents were watching Adams for years and that some documentation was missing “to determine to whom Adams [was] selling or exporting his firearms.”

The guns were also not properly marked possibly to make the guns more valuable and to avoid paying high import taxes, investigators alleged.

However, a bigger concern is that no markings on the guns and missing documents mean the guns are not traceable by law enforcement.

One neighbor who did not want to be identified said it was a shock.

“I didn’t really see the guns but from a distance,” the neighbor said.  “I saw them being pulling them out into the front yard.

“Its very scary in the fact that the school is so close by makes it seem even more dangerous.”

The search warrant also said Adams was investigated in Canada for keeping about 80 illegal guns in a storage unit. U.S. agents worked with Canadian police on that case.

  1. So the U S Government is going to get this guy for gun smuggling . a man by the name of Eric Holder comes to mind (Fast and Furious) if the gentleman spoken of in the video had been part of the Obama Administration nothing would have been said or done .

  2. Why am I not surprised?! HS has over stepped its bounds once again. It looks like the government is running scared. Mr Adams will get his firearms back and all felony charges will be dropped.

Dog and pony show, that’s all that this government heist is all about. Very sad state of affairs.

I wonder what the surveillance guys feel like when listening in on Mr. Adams conversations. Don’t they get it? Its a very sad day in New Mexico and if governor Martinez allows this “Raid” to stand its time for a “Recall.”

  3. What difference does it make how close to that school was to the guys house. I would be more worrried about armed security guards and the damned psycho cops that are carrying guns. It seems to me that if the feds were watching this guy for several years that he was obviously not doing anything that was wrong ya`ll know – after all the guy hasn`t been charger with anything. I kind of wonder if that F`er Holder had anything to do with this guy.

  4. And so it begins. On what grounds did they have a search warrant? Eric Holder and Obastard should be the ones being arrested for gun trafficking.

  5. Ever read the book Unintended Consequences by John Ross? If you can find a copy for under $80 it a great read for gun owners. Almost a manual of resistance.

That said, this sounds like it was taken from one of Ross’ chapters (in other words – BS)

  6. “Its very scary in the fact that the school is so close by makes it seem even more dangerous.”

Ever notice how these lamestream media stories usually end with some interview quote supporting the agenda (anti-firearm) of the report.
I quit watching news about 30 years ago when the format introduced two talking heads to complete a sentence.

    1. I know. Isn’t it amazing how they have to add a sentence to keep reminding everyone about the magical words, “guns” and “school” and “children”? The MSM is getting so desperate these days.

  7. Just so everyone knows. It’s beginning. I have been to Walmart and Academy of sports and outdoors. They are limiting ammo purchases to 3 boxes per day for Walmart and 3 boxes per month for Academy of Sports and Outdoors. The rationing of ammo has now begun. So far the smaller gun shops are still not doing the rationing thing but the AR and AK rifles are soaring through the roof. People are even waiting at 2am for the truck to arrive at Academy of Sports and Outdoors in order to purchase 9mm bullets. Just giving everyone a heads up.

    1. How do they know if you are buying more than the ration per time period?
I have never shown ID or used a credit/debit card for ammo.
I use cash for 99.9% of ALL purchases regardless of item.
This cashless society push is another trap to beware of.
I can see it coming down the road (as the UK already does this) with Obama(S)care as your “unhealthy” purchases will be used against you, as will all other items you buy which are potential components of prohibited activities, the list of which grows longer by the minute.

      1. True. I only pay cash as well. And you could go to another place to buy, but I’m saying, you can only buy so much ammo at the same place or same branch per day. Either way, this is the start of ammo crackdown and rationing.

        1. Also the clerk at Academy of Sports and Outdoors said that “you have to get here early because people are waiting until 2 IN THE MORNING when the truck arrives to buy 9mm ammo.” I guess they stay open late or make exceptions for them. I don’t know, but that’s what he told me. It wouldn’t surprise me.

  8. The Gov is making its move. The “Think Tank Guys” have given the go ahead to end the Republic once and for all. Plan B is to completely destroy America if Plan A fails… Plan A will fail so hold on to your hats gentlemen form here on out things are going become very evil.

I never did believe in a “Hell,” but now I hope there is a hell because there is no justice in this life if the Patriots don’t stand up and fight. That’s not too likely, but one never know for sure. The think tank as_holes could be wrong.
    Good day……………………..

  9. The feds have probably spent hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) trying to build a case against this guy. Rest assured, if there’s nothing illegal going on, they will remedy that. Hope he has insurance on those guns…

  10. “One neighbor who did not want to be identified said it was a shock.

“I didn’t really see the guns but from a distance,” the neighbor said. “I saw them being pulling them out into the front yard.

“Its very scary in the fact that the school is so close by makes it seem even more.”

Of course he didn’t want to be identified. If he even exists at all, he’s a ‘govt.’ agent who doesn’t even live there.

    What a crock.
