Feinstein calls for banning more than 150 types of firearms during dramatic press conference

Daily Caller – by Alex Pappas

WASHINGTON — California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein staged a dramatic press conference Thursday on Capitol Hill with 10 weapons at her side and unveiled legislation instituting a government ban on more than 150 types of firearms, including rifles, pistols and shotguns.

Flanked by other anti-gun liberal lawmakers, including New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Feinstein announced the introduction of the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2013.”

The legislation being pushed by Feinstein — who has long history of calling for gun bans — would prohibit the sale, transfer, importation and manufacture of certain firearms.

During the press event at the Dirksen Senate Office Building, the Democrats described these firearms as “dangerous military-style assault weapons.” The bill would also ban high-capacity ammunition feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds.

Feinstein said the country’s “weak” gun laws allow massacres like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occur.

“Getting this bill signed into law will be an uphill battle, and I recognize that — but it’s a battle worth having,” Feinstein said in literature handed to reporters at the Thursday event.

Others who joined the Democrats for the press conference included Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Washington National Cathedral dean Gary R. Hall.

This sort of stunt from Feinstein — displaying weapons for dramatic effect while discussing new gun laws — is hardly new. Joe Morrissey, a Democratic delegate in Virginia, caught some colleagues by surprise last week by bringing an AK-47 onto the floor of the House of Delegates while calling for gun control.

And David Gregory, the moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” found himself in hot water for displaying a high-capacity gun magazine during an interview with a leader of the National Rifle Association in December. NBC studios are in Washington D.C., where having possession of such magazines is illegal. While DC police investigated the incident, no charges were filed.

Someone tell this jewel and assorted traitors what “Shall not be Infringed” means, Also what protecting the Constitution means.

No sunsets, no checks, no types, NOT a damn thing since all are Infringements… And we are paying attention now, to the people that forgot WHAT their oath exactly stated. and thus ON PURPOSE lied.

She has learned from the bill,

Everyone else what democrats eh communists and assorted dictators did in the past with their child friendly bills. I don’t think that anyone is going to repeat history on the road she suggests.

In Israel she would be laughed in ridicule out of the knesset.

  2. Kulafarmer says:

Keep track of who supports this as these are the people to be exposed as traitors

This beast is truly living in her own little delusional world.

OH! No charges are being filed. How nice. But if I were to do that, I would be arrested and charged on the spot. I guess it must be nice to be friends with the elite who can find any excuse to override a law when it suits them. GO TO HELL!!!

A gun free zone is indeed a weak(ening) gun law.

We thank those to our politicians who in spite of common sense introduced defence limiting laws for the citizens. Then wait for the inevitable outcome of shooters showing up in a safe shooting gallery, to then claim on the bodies of the dead victims they themselves caused that guns are dangerous and need to be banned.

The guns are there, they only created the opportunity to use them without much personal risk, until the law enforcers show up.

What? Only three of mine on the list, WTF?

Oh, it’s a partial list. Whew! I was worried there for a minute.

    • Flying Fish says:

Euro-American I think we should be more concerned about the lack of Euro-American representatives on stage. Telling. Very telling. The composition reflected is what the future will soon be in our nation. Don’t think this is what my ancestors had in mind when they came over here.

  5. Flying Fish says:

Our nation should ban Feinstein and her minions.

  6. Large Scale Aggressor says:

That would make a nice shopping list if I had the $$$.

  7. mike m says:

This dirty c#@t fienstien needs to be made Public Enemy # 1 for refusing to carry out the Oath she swore to when she slithered into D.C.

  8. REDHORSE says:

In the first place if these so called rep’s would get off their fat asses and inforce the laws on the books then we would have no reason to be haveing these conversations.Course then they couldn’t complane about the 2nd and try to take guns away from responsable citizens who have nothing to do with the gun crime.I think we would all be much happier if they just took one of these weapons they want to take away and insurted it in their ear and listened for the sound.

  9. Logan Fyfe says:

The most dangerous thing about drugs is their illegality.

When the Maos, Hitlers, Stalins, and their enabling useful idiots like Feinstein, Schumer, Cuomo, et. al. of this world get their way the most dangerous thing about guns will be their illegality – illegal for you, not for them.

  10. grego says:

This will never pass, and even if it did who gives a crap nothing changes these people are a joke, no one in the west will inforce,, oh what they gunna come get them, I don’t think so, if they tryed it would go bad bad for them,, what stupid cop would sucker for the job,, these thugs are cowords..nothing changes ..

  11. Eomer says:

The best thing that could happen would be if this bill got passed and they tried to enforce it. I’d rather just get this all over with as opposed to waiting around for the big crash.

  12. It is I only says:

When will you hang this pig carcass from a lamp post?

  13. Miguel Grande says:

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities..

The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy..

The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
