Modern Survival Blog In American political jargon, an October surprise is a news event with the potential to influence the outcome of an election, particularly one for the U.S. presidency. The reference to the month of October is because the date for national elections (as well as many state and local elections) occurs between November 2 and 8, and therefore events that take place in late October have greater potential to influence the decisions of prospective voters.
The surprising thing is that we’re surprised by it every four years whereas perhaps we should expect it. A tight race like this year’s, where the candidates are separated by a few points, increases the likelihood that an unexpected event can shape the election.

Before the election, Obama will identify some of those who participated in the raid that murdered the American ambassador and other brave Americans, and the president must take action to have them killed. What about this one…
Israel might exploit this ‘politically delicate time’ to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites and force President Obama to join the attack or face defeat at the polls. On the other hand, however should the US appear to be threatened or at risk (e.g. sink an Aircraft Carrier in the Strait of Hormuz), he (Obama) might win support because he is, after all, the Commander in Chief.
And/Or…
There is are some puzzling aspects involving the recent attacks on U.S. embassies in Egypt and Libya. The hysteria that swept through the rioting masses did not seem to make sense at first, not until it became obvious that at least the Libyan attack was preplanned and the film being “protested” was merely an excuse. The Obama Administration stuck to the story that this was a spontaneous eruption of anger. It is now appearing otherwise…

This assumes there is a dime’s worth of difference between them, that the president actually authors policy and the election isn’t rigged.
It’s *always* a “tight race” any more. There will never be another “landslide” win — there’s no tension, no drama, no keeping the audience on the edge of their seats hanging on the pundits’ every word, when one candidate is the clear favorite.
This election is slightly different — this one is so close because people can’t tell who to care *less* about. “Vote Obamney — because it makes no difference!”
Many states are putting Ron Paul on the ballot. This is going to be interesting, as everyone votes for RP and they struggle to hide the results.

The electoral process is fraudulent and participating in their hoax gives them credibility.
The ONLY real vote is no vote at all. A vote for RP will just be flipped to the candidate already chosen for us and all your vote will do is increase the “winner’s” mandate to govern. You can’t participate in a corrupt system and expect an honest result.
The truth is that whoever is chosen for us will NOT have a mandate from the people and your not voting is the only way to get that true message out!

I’m currently trying to explain to a sheeple why he shouldn’t vote for either Obama or Romney as he is planning on voting for Obama even after I told him about the NDAA and his explanation was the infamous two-party believer explanation: “Well, Bush started the whole NDAA and I don’t like Romney because he is against my religion. So I will have to vote for Obama”. To sit and try and tell him that “Obama continued the NDAA when he could have ended it and knowing that he can still indefinitely detain and torture you and his administration even overturned the Judge Forrest’s ruling to ban it, so why would you vote for him?” is like trying to fix stupid as Ron Paul would say. So I don’t know what to tell this guy. Other than the fact that he has ZERO critical thinking skills. To even point to HR 1021 and explain it to him would probably be a waste of my time, but as a former teacher I feel obligated to educate him. It’s frustrating.
The future dictator of this country has already been chosen, so stop beating your head against the wall.
