Democrats in the Illinois Senate have failed to gain enough support for legislation that would have outlawed 50 percent of long guns on the market in the state and would have confiscated weapons owned by citizens.
On Wednesday, we reported that Illinois Senate President John Cullerton planned to introduce a draconian bill that would have effectively banned all modern firearms, criminalized their owners, and subjected their guns to confiscation by the Illinois State Police.
“Based on what we know about Cullerton’s bill, firearms that would be banned include all semiautomatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns,” the Illinois State Rifle Association reported. “Pump action shotguns would be banned as well. This would be a very comprehensive ban that would include not only so-called ‘assault weapons’ but also such classics as M1 Garands and 1911-based pistols. There would be no exemptions and no grandfathering. You would have a very short window to turn in your guns to the State Police to avoid prosecution.”
In addition to outlawing a large number of firearms, the legislation would have targeted shooting ranges in the state.
Following the failure today, Democrats pledged to reintroduce legislation outlawing the Second Amendment. “We will take some time to work on these important issues to advance them in the near future,” Cullerton’s press secretary, Rikeesha Phelon, told reporters.
Illinois governor Pat Quinn has indicated he will push for outlawing semiautomatic weapons this Spring.

Don’t drop your guard, these scumbags will keep trying and they will jump on the next false flag like flies on s*it. They must just be waiting on the big one and that is right around the corner.
Use this oppurtunity now to set up a “Pick 7″ infrastructure (commo, logistical, movement, etc.) and train, train and train some more. Survey your neighborhoods for choke points and if you can set up a range card of sorts for wherever you are most likely going to be shooting at. Find your people and find them NOW because when they make their push they will hit those they want to make examples of hard. Get all the people you can. We are all on borrowed time.
Get a CB (or any other radio network, preferably line of sight) network setup if you can, even if the people who are awake are adverse to the militia there’s nothing wrong with have a mutual defense groups.

Well, of course, they will reintroduce it and spend time modifying it again and again and again when other more important issues like our national debt, our jobs, our economy and all of the other things that are more important to WE THE PEOPLE than guns and more ridiculous security at this point in time, take a back seat. I see how it is.
When the people want their jobs back, “MUM’S” the word on Congress, but when it comes to a few (and I mean a minute few) who want gun control, it’s all of a sudden RAMMED through us every which way until we submit. Our pathetic Congress hard at work for the American people….I mean for the corporate lobbyists.
Our corrupt Congress’s motto FOR their corporate lobbyists, “NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!!”.
We the People’s motto AGAINST our treasonous government, “NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!!”.
It all comes down to who has the higher moral rule of law and just as importantly, who has the stronger free will.
I think we all know the answer to that one.
Well after seeing Pat Quinn praying muslim prayers at a mosque on ramadan, I don’t expect much from him. There seems to be some sinister movement that all politicians are a part of on both sides. No one is safe.
I’m seeing more and more articles about either abolishing the 2nd amendment or abolishing the constitution. You see, this is a neverending battle in which we must always remain vigilant. We must pass this down to our children and our grandchildren. While this is a victory, the enemy is never going to stop fighting. Even when it looks like we’ve won all there is to win, we must never stop the fight. That is the very reason we are in this situation. When we have taken back the Republic, we must never forget what we are experiencing right now. If we do, we will end up right back here where we started.
All this talk as of late about the abolishment of the 2nd amendment is treason! When our congressmen, state and national, take their oath of office they solemnly swear to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States of America! For them to go back on their oath and try to abolish constitutional amendments that our great country was founded on is nothing short of High Treason!
Anyone who has any upcoming local elections (April 2013) should review all candidates views on the 2nd Amendment. The candidates that do not support 2A need to be brought to the attention of all local gun shop owners, that patriots are advised and cast their votes accordingly.
