Indian Textbook Claims Meat Eaters ‘Steal, Fight And Turn To Violence And Sex Crimes’

This ranks up there with the most ridiculous propaganda I’ve ever heard.

You might be used to hearing this from your vegan pals during the holidays, but an Indian textbook company is now making claims that might surprise the most militant members of PETA.

According to “New Healthway,” a health and hygiene book aimed at 11- to 12-year-old students, meat eaters are awful people.

“They easily cheat, tell lies, they forget promises, they are dishonest and tell bad words, steal, fight and turn to violence and sex crimes,” the book states on page 56.

It also goes on to claim that the flavor of meat is the result of “waste products,” and that the Japanese are long-lived vegetarians whose “generous use of green leafy vegetables, soya beans and grams has helped [them] to maintain vigour, strength and endurance throughout the centuries.”

According to Businessweek, the Japanese eat more fish per capita than the residents of any other developed country, with 23 percent of their daily protein coming from that source.

The book is published by the S. Chand Group, which released a statement condemning the questionable material, noting that “the matter is regrettable and the book has since been withdrawn.”

In its statement, the publisher claims that the author of the book, David S. Poddar, is a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which advocates a vegetarian diet on religious grounds.

About 80 percent of India’s population is Hindu, while more than 13 percent are Muslim. For religious reasons, beef is not consumed by Hindus and Islamic dietary laws prohibit the consumption of pork.

Not to cast any aspersions, but Adolf Hitler happened to be a vegetarian.

        Or a couple of Territories/Countries with a big wall around them, protected by automatic machine guns, minefields, and a 200 mile safety land and sea zone controlled by armed drones, where only lower tribes without technology are allowed to settle as Animals.

    That or they’re just preparing us for the upcoming overpriced food scarcity program.

    When they can’t guilt trip us into submission just add a little fear into the mix and if that doesn’t work by force will suffice.

      There are creatures here on God’s earth that eat plants and then there are creatures that eat those creatures. The high protein in meat is absolutely essential to brain and muscle development. So let the communists eat the vegetables and if worse comes to worse, we will eat the communists. :)

    I never saw a 48 ounce rib eye I didn’t like. Pass the green beans, potatoes and gravy while your at it.

    I tend to agree with the article. I’m not a vegan, but I was. I eat a little chicken and salmon occasionally, now. Once in a great while a chunk of “properly raised” Buffalo.

    I race Mt. Bikes, used to on a National Level, and when I wanted to get in “the mood” for a big race I’d consume some of the “red stuff”. It does tend to make one more aggressive, no question about it. Need proof? Stop eating it for a year and then try “a 48 ounce rib eye” (dead flesh), without the gravy.

    I won’t eat the red stuff for a number of scary reasons; contaminated cattle feed by GMO and various additives, i.e. “chemicals”. Most alfalfa is GMO now, and so, those contaminates are passed on to the the livestock and then passed on to the consumer of the livestock. Anyone with half a brain, who is following the current research coming out (French came out with some shocking facts) knows it’s suicide eating anything related to GMO, whether that be meat or vegetables.

    All the “unbiased” research coming out today regarding eating Red meat indicates one is much healthier staying away from it, that’s become quite clear.

    Just look at the ill health of Americans today. Obesity in 1 out of 3. Over weight in 1 out of 2. Dis-ease is running rampant. 4.02 BILLION written prescriptions in 2011. It goes on and on. Red Meat IS a major factor to ill health and when someone is under the influence of “dis-ease”, you better believe, they’re chances of “easily cheating, telling lies…stealing, fighting and turning to violence and sex crimes,” increase exponentially.

    Yeah, consumption of Red Meat certainly increases hostile behavior; contaminated meat (and the vast majority of it is), contaminated mind; contaminated actions.

    Of course, even those in denial will justify that what ever they eat is “good” for them. It’s the nature of ignorance.

      The article blanket statements for all. What necessarily works for your body & life style doesn’t mean it works for others. As for chemicals & GMO’s, I’ll agree it’s nothing but slow acting poison.

      I’ve got major problems with groups forcing their agendas & their will upon me. Got enough of that now with all levels of government. Individual Responsibility & Accountability goes a longs ways when it comes to health issues. You & I should NEVER have to pay one copper clad cent for someone else’s poor eating, drinking, smoking, sexual, etc lifestyles. As the Old school U.S. Government teacher explained to me, “My Freedom ends where Your nose begins and Your Freedom ends where My nose begins”. Still holds true, IMO.

    I eat less Store bought meats than before. I have listened to both sides of the argument about meat vs. veggies…..My V.A. Doctors pushed the Vegan concept hard due to my High BP and High Cholesterol. Thats when I started looking for the “REAL” cause of these problems I was having. I wasnt about to go on anymore VA drugs…and dang sure no STATINS.

    What I found was the amino acids, lipid protiens and various locked chain minerals in red meat were NOT the cause of Plaque build up nor elevated triglyceride count.
    The health issue is not with the basic meat itself,..its with the gmo feeds and the multiple cocktails of growth hormones, anti-biotics and various other chemicals that beef cows are subjected to during their life.
    As dangerous as it sounds Poultry and Pork products are multiple times worse as far as added chemicals.

    The dangers come when certain animal products are consumed along with other food additives,….nitrates are a good example……its linked to cancer when added to processed and deli meats. What the fail to tell you is that its the tons of junk food consumed in our culture that reacts to and with all the bovine injected drugs that are the real problem.

    I raise a big garden every year with many varieties of vegetables that our family consumes. I raise Goats Turkeys and Chickens for meat. We also add to our diet with an occasional deer or 4 during the winter….we cut back on store bought BEEF and Chicken mainly due to the enormous price hikes going on lately..and because of all the added chemicals ….we try to supplement our beef intake with local free-range meat….not always possible…
    Anyway the gist of all this I guess is to eat in moderation…we have and both my wife and my health has greatly improved,…I no longer take BP meds…….we use only natural sea-salts and we dont consume any processed foods (read as poison foods) anymore……oh,..stay away from MacDonalds and fastfoods…….even those home meal in a box crap (hamburger helper)and things of the sort.

    Eat what your family and grandfamily ate and you will do ok…..:)
