Is it Time to Consider Civil Disobedience?

WND by Joseph Farah

Americans can sit by and watch government ignore the Constitution and all the principles that made the country great.

Or they can take action, like they did in 2010.

Americans can get out into the streets and let the government know, in no uncertain terms, they will not accept the imposition of Obamacare, they will not accept the endless spiraling debt, they will not accept unlimited government, they will not accept intrusions into our personal liberties, they will not accept rogue government doing what it pleases, when it pleases and to whom it pleases.

In fact, it might be time to resort to civil disobedience in defense of the Constitution.

For instance, I am not going to participate in Obamacare. I’m not going to do it as an individual, and I’m not going to do it as an employer. I would like to be joined by thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of others – maybe even millions.

While I’d like to see millions of tea-party activists back out in the street as we saw in 2010, perhaps we need to do more than hold placards and sing songs. Maybe we need to stage sit-ins like Martin Luther King did. Maybe we need to submit ourselves to arrest by the tens of thousands, overwhelming the injustice system.

Washington has become unresponsive to the people and the rule of law. Elections are manipulated, and the turnout in 2012 suggests tremendous disillusionment with the choices Americans are being offered.

Why shouldn’t they be?

As you read this column, Democrats and Republicans are conspiring to find a path to business as usual – endless borrowing and spending, raising taxes on the productive class of society, while creating more dependency on government by the rest.

Government acolytes like to talk about “unsustainability.” They use the term to suggest that levels of a natural component like carbon are going to destroy us all, magically raising sea levels and bringing about catastrophic events. At the same time, they seem oblivious to the real problem of unsustainability – endless borrowing and spending and taxing, even in an economy that is sputtering at best.

We’ve got to recognize what makes America special is the rule of law and the will of the people, a Constitution that limits the power of government and protects the rights of individuals.

Everything is upside down and inside out.

Before our very eyes, government is empowering itself to exceed the strict limits the Constitution places on it. And when government does that, it naturally infringes on the rights of the people.

The founders of this once-great nation struck a delicate balance between government authority and the rights of the people.

Today’s leaders – Democrats and too many Republicans as well – have tipped the scales in favor of oligarchy.

The tea party accomplished much during 2010. But it wasn’t the kind of long-lasting change we expected. Even the tea party was co-opted by politicians and those chasing the almighty dollar. But it began with all the best intentions as a grass-roots movement free of self-interested leaders. Those who did the hard organizational work simply wanted to save their country from the abyss.

As the author of “The Tea Party Manifesto,” I want to see the excitement we all experienced in 2010 re-ignited.

We had Washington running scared in 2010 – and the elections that year reflected the numbers mobilized by the tea-party movement.

However, those politicians who were the beneficiaries of that vote have betrayed us.

The man who was made speaker of the House as a result of that election is now clearly part of the problem.

That’s why a renewed, reinvigorated tea-party movement needs to recognize simply electing a new set of politicians is not enough. Politics isn’t something we do every two years. It’s a 24/7, 365-day activity that never ends. Once politicians are elected, they need to hear from you. They need to see you. They need to fear you.

That’s where we failed after the 2010 election. And the disillusionment so many of us felt after that experience drove too many to become less active.

If you love America, it’s time to get back out into the streets. It’s time to organize your neighbors in your own community. It’s time to challenge the media as we did in 2010 – even when they disparaged us or ignored us.

Maybe we even need to declare a national strike to make our power felt.

I don’t have all the answers. But it’s time to start thinking outside the box. It’s time to learn the lessons of our adversaries and put them into practice.

These are desperate times. We are losing our liberty. Government is running amok.
Are we going to lie down and watch the American Dream die?

Clearly, we are being bombarded on all fronts. We live in an emotional, mental and physical War Zone and TPTB are turning the heat up.

It seems that the Second Amendment is metaphorically and literally the last “Life support” system we have between our Freedom and Slavery. When it’s gone, we will be at the mercy of a fascist machine that has been incrementally dismantling our Constitution. How the final chapter of a gun ban would play out is anybodies guess, but from where we are now, the outcome looks, understandably, grim.

I suggest we have a “Call to Arms” march. (An initial) nonviolent march to DC, and local State Capitals, where we carry our “Guns” (rather than burying them in the back yard ;-0), in mass, and surround the politicians and say “Enough is Enough”. Stop the insanity OR ELSE! The marching numbers would have to be so massive that any resistance from their side would be futile. Not that their would be a “confrontation” with blood spilling, but the message would need to be so resounding so as to suggest to the politicians and police, “we are mad as hell and we aren’t going to take it anymore!”

Personally, a well organized march, inspired and backed and advertised, unconditionally, by all alternative news outlets, would be essential. Non-violence would be it’s platform and the deliberate and open carry of Arms would be required (loaded recommended). I don’t see any other way to get “their” attention at this late stage in the game. Generating enthusiasm in the winter might be difficult, but if not now, then when? If such an event took place, I would proudly participate and “carry”. Clearly, the numbers would be essential for the message to penetrate the hearts and minds of those hell bent on keeping the status quo. Besides, what else is there to do with one’s life?

    • diggerdan says:

We can march all damned day long on Washington and tell them what is and isn`t right. The PTB do not understand anything that is not violent – I hate to say it but non-violent demonstrations have never accomplished anything to change our govt. here in the US!! Remember the 60`s,remember Kent State, How about Wounded knee back in the early 70`s, HOW ABOUT ALL THE VIET NAM PROTESTS. The GOVT. only reacts and understands murder, death and violence period. That is why they want to steal our guns and get rid of our 2nd amendent rights along with all the other rights that makes our country better than all the other countries. Our govt. needs to be flushed right down the crapper where they belong, and if this isn`t true then why isn`t anything getting accomplished after all these years and us people only get their excuses for not getting the job done? The govt. only understands violence and that is what they want. Time is way overdue for us all to start acting out against out phoney BS govt. in what ever way we can – non-violent protests have been proven to not work when it comes to our so called govt. !!!

      • NC says:

I agree with ya, Digs. We can march and protest all day long but the police and the corrupt justice system will still allow all of the corporate elite and Zionists stand over the balcony and laugh at us while drinking their dry martinis like they did at Wall St. like kings looking down on their peasants.

We are beyond petition, beyond protesting, beyond peaceful terms. They don’t care. They will just stand there and laugh at you if you do and will never realize what they are doing is wrong as they don’t think like us whatsoever. They are not human. And when it’s time to leave, they will just order their mercenaries to disperse the crowd for them.

Let me put it plainly to everyone. I believe Raul Julia said it best in the movie, “Street Fighter” (A horrible movie, but Raul Julia was the only one who gave a worthy performance) as the character M. Bison when he was talking to the character Chun Li,

“For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. “.

Translation: Multitudes of people protesting and marching in the streets against them would be the greatest thing in the world to most people. But to the elite, they just don’t see it that way and it’s just another day of business for them. Oh well.

        • leo bourne says:

How about this, we go get Bloomberg first, but don’t tell him we are coming either.

        • diggerdan says:

I can surly tell you haven`t lived the life Mr. European American. You must have a close relative working for the Govt. I have lived to see a lot of the protests of the 60`s and there is absolutly no talkin` with with them bastards. It realy is time to give them punks what they are asking for, bottom line case closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REMEMBER THE PAST TO LIVE FOR TODAY TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE and our so called govt. couldn`t give a rats ass about your future or mine or amerikas future for that matter – they don`t give a flying F!!!! By the way you got any better ideas cause what you reccomend has been proven to not work many times over.———————————————P.S. European American, sorry US two that you called couch potatoes is wrong. Maybe you sould think about some self evaluation eh there sport EA!! .

    • Henry Shivley says:

No, we don’t need an impossible parade. If we want to get this thing over with, the solution is simple. Across this nation we block every port of entry. Stop the flow of spice and I promise you our enemies will fish or cut bait, forthwith.
Understand, the thing that makes us so terrible and dangerous is the fact that we are an army of 40 million, heavily armed American nationals and we are individuals. The thing that has got us this far is the refusal of a centralized leadership, which would easily be infiltrated and corrupted. Our enemy faces a foe that is absolutely unpredictable as there is no way they can calculate 40 million individual strategies.
If we train as five man guerrilla fire teams, there is no force on the planet that can defeat us. Staying as individuals will be a bitch at first, but if we do not stay as individuals, the cause of this war will be twisted and once again the meaning of our victory will be deluded.
Each and every one of us must vow that our Bill of Rights will be made once again absolute in the law and new safeguards will be put in place to make sure the misery makers never again speak in reference to our unalienable rights.

      • TranceAm says:

        40 Million Hunters
        8 Million Hunting teams?

I guess they (5th column trying to destroy the nation.) have good (From their viewpoint.) reason to be very scared to be in the cross-hairs eh spotlight and have to disarm them at all costs.

If these amounts of people go out for the hunt and neutralise each one target… Holly Freedom, Batman.

No wonder they have been pushing for remote controlled drone wars, continuity of government from deep within the bunkers, shadow governments.

        • Anon Patriot says:

The government will just use one half of the American population to kill off the other half? It could go on, for as long as the Vietnam War did.
Anyone who thinks that the U.S. Government won’t turn its military apparatus around, and use it on American civilians, doesn’t understand what happened on Nov. 22, 1963. Or, on Sept. 11, 2001, for that matter. I read an interesting article at http://www.FreedomsPhoenix.com, entitled “From Russia With Love” – it’s a short article, but well worth reading: http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Article/125471-2012-12-31-from-russia-with-love.htm

That article gives some insight on how the International Central Banker-funded Communists (Khazars) use deception, to wage war. They dupe the public, then move in for the kill.

  2. leo bourne says:

I read an article today, on BeforeItsNews.com, saying the public should gather November 5th 2013 in D.C. and arrest the president, congress and senate. The article said no one should be armed and the number of people alone would secure the arrests. Really?

There are many flaws in the writers plan to arrest these politicians. I think the biggest flaw is letting them know when you plan to come. I think you may want some element of surprise and a little intel gathered prior to that attempt.

Bless their hearts, they mean well. I think they may find D.C. deserted except for the ocean of police and homeland security that will be there to greet them. Bless their hearts.

That is why you shouldn’t smoke dope, you can’t think of all the possible outcomes.

    • # 1 NWO Hatr says:

That’s because the 5th of November is associated with Guy Fawkes a British (so-called) ‘terrorist’ who tried to blow up the Parliament.

“V for Vendetta” is an excellent movie with this as it’s premise.
I highly recommend it, if you’ve never seen it.

  3. chris says:

The time for peaceful non-compliance has long passed.

That’s the major disconnect I have with the libertarians and conservatives.

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
    Thomas Paine

    • BentSpear says:

“The time for peaceful non-compliance has long passed”

Concur. If you make one march armed or disarmed, no matter; it’ll be the last. The next one will be to Camp Free Executions Multi Agony.

  4. John Q. Parvenu says:

It’s long past time guys and gals!

“If the government will not stop the war, then we will stop the government.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — 1968

Because the only thing a brute comprehends is blunt force trauma…

Happy New Year to you and yours,

    JQP

    • diggerdan says:

MLK was good. Good quote there John Q.. By the way Happy New Years to you also I hope it is a safe one – AND THE SAME GOES TO ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE/HUMAN BEINGS ON THIS SITE.

  5. Eomer says:

It sounds like everyone is itching to get this party started but just have different tactics for the ice breaker. I think EA just wants to march there somewhat peacefully and somewhat legally but with the intentions to finish the job. Meanwhile NC and Diggerdan would like to say the hell with the somewhat legal/peaceful introduction and get right to the point. Essentially you guys have similar ideas but different tactics. This might be the hardest part. Wouldn’t it be easier if they threw the first punch? But these people dont fight like that. These are the people who slit your throat when you’re asleep then burn your house down. This is indeed the toughest obstacle: how to transform the ideas, thoughts and talk of revolution into the real, living, breathing thing.

    • diggerdan says:

Yea Eomer, maybe we all have different ways of taking care of business, but when it comes to the govt. they are the ones breaking the rules. Ya see, they make the rules as they see fit to bennefit themselves. Their idea of a snipe hunt is different than mine cause one day they will be the snipe, not us. Remember that confusion is the first rule of terrosim and our govt. is realy trying to confuse us all and it is not working out so well for them – ya see, the govt loves sheeple.

    • leo bourne says:

You say EA wants to be peaceful? You show up in D.C. with a firearm and see what happens. It will be anything but peaceful. EA needs to rethink his plan. There are 10,000 troops stationed just across the potomac in Maryland. Their weapons are assault weapons, not a look-a-like assault weapon.

Like Shivley says an organized 5 man, hit and run, team could not be stopped. Look how long the 2 man beltway team lasted, before they got greedy and wanted a ransom. If they had taken longer breaks, not taunted the police and increased their area of operation they could be collecting a pension by now.

I think they were the original gun control false flag shooters. Have you noticed that all these mass killers use a Bushmaster rifle? Or maybe the news media think all AR15s are Bushmasters.

  6. Eomer says:

Well I read a lot of good info on this site but Henry that’s one of the best things I’ve read so far. While I do believe it’s a good thing and a necessary thing to expose the actions of the evil we are up against I think we need to start discussing more ways or tactics for fighting this evil.

  7. how is it that a “Jewish” global crime syndicate is called “Our” government…

    or Government..?

IT IS A TALMUDIC TERRORIST [Satanic] “Jewish” global crime syndicate

how many Hebrew Israelites live in the “Jewish” State ?

the first thing Americans should do is to stop repeating lies to themselves

  8. reluctant slave says:

As the demands of government on people continue to grow, it won’t be a question of choosing to be civil-disobedient or not. When you can’t meet all of the expectations of our many overlords, you wind up on the other side of the fence, in the gray-economy, whether you choose it or not. This requires no act of bravery.
Those working for the government have been more insulated than private-sector people, but this soon will change. They may become allies of freedom rather than status-quo-lovers.

  9. Bildo says:

What most people don’t understand is United States is a foreign-owned, bankrupt corporation. Not a country. They won’t listen to you because they don’t have to. They are doing everything according to their plan.
What I did was record a UCC-1 financing statement, took a copy in to my employer, and was declared tax exempt. That’s just one positive thing this document does. If everyone did this, it would speak louder than all the marching and protesting ever could.

“United States” is the “District of Columbia” incorporated.
“The United States government is a foreign corporation with respect to a State” Volume 20: Corpus Juris Sec. § 1785,
    Also: NY re: Merriam 36 N.E. 505 1441 S. 0.1973, 14 L. Ed. 287

In UNITED STATES CODE, Title 28,
    in Section 3002 Definitions,
    it states the following:
    (15) “United States” means—
    (A) a Federal corporation;

When a government goes bankrupt, it loses its sovereignty.

    In 1933 the U.S. declared bankruptcy, as expressed in Roosevelt’s Executive Orders 6073, 6102, 6111, and 6260, House Joint Resolution 192 (Public Law 73-10) of June 5, 1933 (31 U.S.C. 463) confirmed in Perry v. U.S. (1935) 294 U.S. 330-381, 79 LEd 912, as well as 31 United States Code (USC) 5112, 5119, Senate Report 93-549, and 12 USC 95a.

“What I did was record a UCC-1 financing statement, took a copy in to my employer, and was declared tax exempt”

Bildo, is there a website how to do this? And it is legal and you are not harrassed by the IRS?

    • Bildo says:

No, not harrassed by the IRS. It’s legal. It was tested in either Oregon or Washington state, I can’t remember which, and the state attorneys didn’t like it, but there was nothing they could do against it. It’s one of those things that THEY don’t want us to know. Here is one site that could help you out. http://www.commercialredemption.com/resources.html
I didn’t use this site to type up my docs. I used The American’s Bulletin but Robert Kelly there is getting too old to do anything any more. This one goes according to Winston Shrout. He and Robert Kelly used to be partners years ago. Same theory.
You can also go here http://sovereignwarriors.ning.com/ for more info and help. Some things work, some things don’t. At SW we discuss all that.

  11. Bob says:

Thanks for the info Bildo. I’ve signed up for SW. This site looks real helpful and informative : http://www.legalucc.com/redemption_faq.html

That would take the wind out of their sails if we all did this and starved the beast of any revenue. Then they’d have rely on their illegal gun trade to finance the endless wars, DHS, TSA and every other alphabet soup agency!
