John Kerry: 'This Little Thing Called the Internet ... Makes It Much Harder to Govern'Don’t you mean dictate???

CNS News – by Terence P. Jeffrey

Speaking to State Department personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil, on Tuesday, Secretary of State John Kerry said that “this little thing called the Internet … makes it much harder to govern.”

He also said that “ever since the end of the Cold War, forces have been unleashed that were tamped down for centuries by dictators.”

“I’m a student of history, and I love to go back and read a particularly great book like [Henry] Kissinger’s book about diplomacy where you think about the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and the balance of power and how difficult it was for countries to advance their interests and years and years of wars,” Kerry said to a gathering of State Department employees and their families.

“And we sometimes say to ourselves, boy, aren’t we lucky,” Kerry continued.

“Well, folks,” he said, “ever since the end of the Cold War, forces have been unleashed that were tamped down for centuries by dictators, and that was complicated further by this little thing called the internet and the ability of people everywhere to communicate instantaneously and to have more information coming at them in one day than most people can process in months or a year.

“It makes it much harder to govern, makes it much harder to organize people, much harder to find the common interest,” said Kerry, “and that is complicated by a rise of sectarianism and religious extremism that is prepared to employ violent means to impose on other people a way of thinking and a way of living that is completely contrary to everything the United States of America has ever stood for. So we need to keep in mind what our goals are and how complicated this world is that we’re operating in.”

  1. I would think it would be easier, in that implementing the will of the people(like government is supposed to do) is more centralized. Want to learn what the people want, use the internet. It is harder to govern because it is harder to hide the lies and personal, not public, agenda of our cowardly “leaders”. It can’t be more obvious how so frightened the government is of the governed. Easy to carry on with the lies and personal agenda when you control the information. Right, John? You are right…..America no longer stands for what it once did. Thanks to “leaders” like you, America will be remembered for this point in history as thieves, rapists, and mass murderers. That is unless, of course, you can control all the information. Yup……..total information control makes it very easy to govern….huh John?

    1. Good post! Kerry calling the internet “this thing” reminds me of the 1st president Bush in 1990 when he made his first visit to a supermarket and was astounded by “that thing” that shines a red laser beam and rings up the price. Wow, amazing. It’s frightening that these people make our world policy decisions and can take us to war.

      1. Skull and Bones Kerry, the elitist descended from the opium trading Forbes family told the truth, but with typical spin to support the elitist agenda. Wars and wars of the 18th and 19th century were caused by his ancestors and their Crown and banker overlords.

What Kerry really meant is that now that knowledge and news are at anyone’s finger tips, the same oppression used since the Sumerians, just doesn’t work anymore. You know the oligarchs really didn’t want the net, but the global banking and corporate finance aspect was just too tempting….

  2. Another one of the Monkey King’s azzclowns degrading himself & the U.S. on the taxpayer’s nickel. Must be in Brazil to pick up a couple of kilo’s for his VP run with Mama Bear Clinton.

  3. Kerry is your typical Teflon Don politician, with his plastic face, sprayed on hair, and tailored blue suit. When he said the internet makes it more difficult to govern, what he really means is the internet makes it more difficult to lie.

    1. My point exactly, Joe. To control the internet is to control what is left of free speech/investigations. Obviously(duh), the MSM in the U.S. is controlled and highly censored. The internet is all we have left as far as getting out the TRUTH. (Loved the “sprayed-on hair” comment). I wonder what that cost us peons/real middle-class taxpayers. Want to know something? Look up “The Bush Legacy”, and then, the “Clinton Chronicles”. Do it before it’s wiped out.

  4. Kerry spoken like a true dictator.

When he says “It makes it much harder to govern, to organize people, harder to find the common interest.”

In other words; in the old days before Internet and Blogs the message was easier to control with limited media thereby easier to control the message to the masses. This little insignificant thing called the internet allows we the people to find the truth much faster not months or years.

Both old crowd Republican and Democratic parties want to shut down blogs and internet site they don’t like or consider in their interests.

  5. Aww….so sorry to put a cramp in your government plans, Kerry. If there is anything else I can do to make your life more of a living Hell, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Thanks.

This is just another attack by the elite on our 1st Article rights and to try and encourage more restrictions on the Internet. Sorry. Won’t work, Mr. Draft Dodger.

And word of advice, you might not want to go around telling people that you take your advice from Kissinger, as it doesn’t help improve your governing skills nor will it improve your status with We the people. But, I’m sure a skull and bones guy like you already knows that and doesn’t care.

  6. In other words, He’s complaining that they’re
having a harder time “SNEAKING” things by.
For those who’re awake, and watching, can
instantly warn, and give “Heads Up” to the rest
of us by posting on the net.

  7. Its a shame,
I never in my wildest dreams thought i would see this day where our government has lost all legitimacy.
We have no representation both at home, nor abroad.
    Time to starve the beast

      1. I know. I didn’t think it would happen in my lifetime either. It’s crazy. But we must get past that, fight and continue to put the pressure on TPTB in order to restore all that we have lost.

Never give up! Death to the NWO! We the People shall prevail!

  8. “………..said Kerry, “and that is complicated by a rise of sectarianism and religious extremism that is prepared to employ violent means to impose on other people a way of thinking and a way of living that is completely contrary to everything the United States of America has ever stood for.”

    Well sh#t howdy, Kerry.

Damned if you didn’t just describe the NWO to a T.
