Law Would Fire Sheriffs For Defying Gun Control Measures

Before It’s News – by Mort Amsel

Supporters of the 380 sheriffs in 15 states who so far have vowed to defy new state and federal gun control laws claim that legislation is starting to pop up around the nation to fire any state elected or appointed law enforcement official who doesn’t obey federal orders.

The first effort emerged in Texas. Legislation proposed by Dallas Democratic Rep. Yvonne Davis would remove any sheriff or law enforcement officer who refuses to enforce state or federal laws.

What’s more, it would remove any elected or appointed law enforcement officer for simply stating or signing any document stating that they will not obey federal orders.

A gun lobbyist told Secrets, “Beware because once something like this is introduced in one state, it will be followed very quickly in several other states.”

TOTAL STATE SHERIFFS ASSOCIATIONS: 15

Updated 03/27/2013Note: A statement from a state association does not necessarily mean that every sheriff in the state supports it. One such case is is Florida, listed below. This statement was voted on and approved by a majority of the sheriffs in the association, but not by EVERY sheriff in the state. While other lists may include all sheriffs within such a state, we have chosen to list associations and individual sheriffs separately.

TOTAL SHERIFFS: 380

Updated 03/27/2013

We are in the process of researching and posting links to online statements for all entities on these lists. You can help us by sending us links to statements by any of them.If you know a sheriff or association that should be listed: Please send us the sheriff’s full name, county, and state along with a link to an online statement by the sheriff if available. You may also email us supporting documents via the contact page.Disclaimer: While we encourage all sheriffs and peace officers to join CSPOA, the list below includes members of the CSPOA and any otherswho have gone on record to uphold their oath by having made public statements, written open letters or contacted us personally and asked to be included. We have indicated which sheriffs are members of the CSPOA.We evaluate each sheriff on a case by case basis, but in general we are looking for sheriffs whose statements contain:

  • A reaffirmation that the sheriff will follow his or her oath and uphold the Constitution
  • An affirmation to support the constitutional second amendment rights of citizens in his or her jurisdiction

  1. The bill will not pass in Texas. Even Texas has a DUMBASS elected to office evey now and then…

Besides, the elected County LEO , ELECTED BY the COUNTY population. NOT by a bunch of Politicians…. WHO is going to come to the sheriff and say get out you are fired??? BS…. You will have to go through the county population first….

  2. Who the hell elected this dumbass? As I’ve stated before, Dallas is in their own world. They don’t represent Texas. They think they own Texas, but they don’t own shit. Everyone outside of Dallas, TX hates Dallas and their politicians. The sheriffs themselves should go and arrest this politician for treason and hang his sorry ass. Dallas is one of those cities that feels the need to control the rest of the state. They can go F**K themselves.

  3. Notice how the Williamson County, TX sheriff (Round Rock) didn’t sign the list. Why am I not surprised. I’m sure he would be among the first sheriffs to take away our guns if asked, since after all, they are the Gestapo.

    1. Maybe you should take them a copy, NC.

They probably just haven’t heard about it yet. 🙂

HEY, DON’T POINT THAT GUN AT ME, NC!!! 🙁

  4. Amazed only Hudspeth County, of all the counties in far west Texas, where something like 90 percent of people own guns, sign the thing! Where are you, Jeff Davis, Presidio, Brewster, Culberson, Reeves, Val Verde, and Terrell counties???? Not even liberals out here support gun control!

  5. How bout a law that fires and recalls corrupt politicians that violate federal and state constitutions?

starting with the lady who introduced this bill.

    1. Why?

We already have a law that demands that we HANG traitors.

      Much more effective.

      And permanent.

  6. Now we are seeing some Organising.

    The Law of Ten

Each party selects and checks out 10 associates or neighbors. Each of them does the same and all of those repeats the process. The resulting number are checked and sworn in and Trained by the Sheriff as deputies.

Any Vet’s can assist with training…Do not forget to source out those Vet’s in your area that are In Need.

Now you have a full fledged Posse ready to defend you, your family and your neighbors… LEGALLY. Read the rights and powers afforded a sheriff and thereby his deputies.. Say goodbye to neighborhood drug gangs, various crooks and any Statists Invading your area..

Yes above is possible and Correct in a middle size community.

Up to 10,000 Volunteer Deputies.. Don’t have to leave your employment can be on 24 hour call.. Authorised to carry weapon(s).. ability to Arrest. Do not forget a good supply of large length plastic tie strips used for electric work and plenty of Rope – to Rope a Dope…

Budget cutbacks do not matter with this type of volunteer system. Some costs for the above materials and a Good Looking Badge.

    We are Legion..

      1. We are Legion pre-dates any NWO and relates to Christian Protectors – in this case Vet’s that are Many…

        1. ‘And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
and cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

I fail to see ANYTHING in the Bible about Legion (with a capital L) as relating to Christian Protectors.

Please exclude me from your “Legion”.
