Moron: NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo forced to roll back 7-bullet magazine limit after discovering there is no such thing available

Bluegrass Pundit

Cuomo and his gun control cohorts obviously didn’t consult with anyone who knows anything about guns…

Via Utica Observer-Dispatch:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday the state is not rolling back the nation’s most stringent gun control measure by keeping 10-bullet magazines legal, even though they would have been outlawed in a bill that passed earlier this year.

Cuomo and legislative leaders in state budget talks plan to change the law that was passed in January before a provision kicks in banning the sale of 10-bullet magazines. The gun measure outlaws the purchase of any magazines that carry more than seven bullets, the nation’s most stringent limit. That would have put a severe limit on the sale of guns with industry standard 10-bullet magazines when the provision of the law went onto effect on April 15.

“There is no such thing as a seven-bullet magazine. That doesn’t exist, so you really have no practical option,” Cuomo said [why didn't he think of that before passing the law? -ed.]. He told reporters that any suggestion this will be a rollback of the law is “wholly without basis.”

I wonder if Cuomo know which end the bullet comes out?

  2. It is I only says:

Look! You wouldn’t want an intelligent person as Governor?
He/She could be dangerous to the PTB!
Only a moron with a IQ in room temperature will qualify for public office!

    An appeasement tactic,

I think he’s hoping that everyone will be happy with this move and stop the fight to repeal his legislation.

  4. John W. says:

We won’t stop until the SAFE act has been repealed. Period.

Cuomo is on a tight rope. He cannot admit the bill was a mistake or he will look like an even bigger fool. He honestly thought that the sheriffs and counties would go along with whatever they passed and never consulted anyone. Now, he faced with a massive back lash not just from legal gun owners but couties, towns, cities and assosciation on top of the massive poll dip. His only option to to either lose in court or allow the thing to be gutted to the point where it’s voided. What Cuomo doesn’t understand is that the damage he did to his reputation is now permenate and we upstate voters will not forget this one, ever.

Smilardog, what do you expect? We’ve got the wicked witch of the West here. They’ve got the wicked witch of the East in WA (DC) – Hitlery.

I keep hoping Dorothy’s house does a 180 this time.

On the article, Cuomo’s an unmitigated moron. That should be obvious to even the dumbest of the sheeple after this latest escapade.

    No deal,repeal!

  7. Jolly Roger says:

His stupidity is well known, and his stupid laws don’t matter because no one is going to obey them, and anyone who tries to enforce them probably won’t make it home after work.

It’s irrelevant because we’re way past their silly laws.

Why do millions of people buy guns when they fear that a politician will ban them? They obviously have no intention of obeying the ban.

Bersa Thunder comes standard with a seven round mag. Very popular gun too.
