No demonstration before attack on US Consulate, source says

FOX News  An intelligence source on the ground in Libya told Fox News that there was no demonstration outside the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi prior to last week’s attack — challenging the Obama administration’s claims that the assault grew out of a “spontaneous” protest against an anti-Islam film.

“There was no protest and the attacks were not spontaneous,” the source said, adding the attack “was planned and had nothing to do with the movie.”

The source said the assault came with no warning at about 9:35 p.m. local time, and included fire from more than two locations. The assault included RPG’s and mortar fire, the source said, and consisted of two waves.

The account that the attack started suddenly backs up claims by a purported Libyan security guard who told McClatchy Newspapers late last week that the area was quiet before the attack.

“There wasn’t a single ant outside,” the unnamed guard, who was being treated in a hospital, said in the interview.

These details appear to conflict with accounts from the Obama administration that the attack spawned from an out-of-control protest. The Libyan president also said Sunday that the strike was planned in advance.

U.S. officials, in response to the claim that there was no demonstration at the time of the attack, told Fox News there was a small protest earlier in the day — but they did not dispute that there was no significant or sizeable demonstration at the time.

But a senior Obama administration official told Fox News on Monday morning that the Libyan president’s comments are not consistent with “the consensus view of the U.S. intelligence community,” which has been investigating the incident, and are accordingly not credible.

“He doesn’t have the information we have,” the U.S. official said of Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif.  ”"He doesn’t have the (data) collection potential that we have.”

The Libyan leader told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday that the government in Tripoli harbors “no doubt” that the Sept. 11 attack that killed U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans was “preplanned, predetermined.”  That assessment conflicted directly with the preliminary conclusion offered on Sunday by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who appeared on all five Sunday morning talk shows.

There, Rice maintained that the Benghazi incident “was a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo, as a consequence of the video,” and that after the protest outside the U.S. consulate gathered steam, “those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons.”

Asked if the timing of the Benghazi incident – the eleventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks — was simply a coincidence, the senior U.S. official said on Monday: “It is coincidental.  All evidence we have points to this video being the spark of these events.  In all of the intel and traffic, there was no one out there saying, ‘Oh, it’s September 11th, we must avenge…’”

The senior U.S. official added that this is “the consensus view of the U.S. intelligence community at this point,” and that Rice “was not out there volunteering her own opinions.”

The official also discounted as “not accurate” reports that staff at U.S. embassy in Egypt warned the State Department — in a cable purportedly sent on the afternoon of Sept. 10 — about the effect the anti-Islam video was having, and the likelihood of violent protests in Cairo, but received no response from Washington.

“There was cable traffic, involving discussion of the video and the potential for protests, the Embassy was aware,” the U.S. official told Fox News.  ”There were discussions about protests between the relevant agencies — intel and State — but the idea that there was no response from State is false.”

Officials at the State Department and the White House continue to express satisfaction with the cooperation they are receiving from foreign governments in the protection of American diplomats and their families. This is said to be especially the case in those instances where President Obama has reached out to foreign heads of state, namely Egypt, Yemen and Libya.

Still, the State Department over the weekend — in a shift of plans that occurred sometime after Friday evening — announced the evacuation of diplomats’ family members and “non-essential” personnel from U.S. Embassies in Tunisia and Sudan, sites of some of the most violent scenes on Friday.

REDHORSE, good snag. More psychopathology from White House liars.

So the intelligence community saw something that wasen’t there and wants to convince the rest of the world that there was something there that wasen’t.Government intelligence is the biggest contradiction in terms that ever was.”I know you didn’t see this but we’re saying it was there so when you talk about it you will say that it was there even if it wasen’t so everybody else will think it was”. What horseshit.

Destabilization of the Mid-East only benefits one nation……and it’s not the United States. Just look to the nation that is always bitching & moaning about how EVERYONE wants to burn their butts off the planet. Isn’t it strange that same nation has deployed drone technology right after the United States? That very same nation also has major control over what is released as “News” in the United States. “Truth” is released only by those that control MSM.

The international intelligence community has been behind virtually all supposed “terrorist” attacks in the past several decades. This is done for specific political and business reasons, and even former CIA personnel will candidly admit such is true. To paraphrase one, the CIA’s purpose is to “manufacture the necessary intelligence to justify their actions.”

It’s bad enough to realize our own government is doing such heinous stuff, but inventing amateurish lies to cover their crimes is truly insulting. You know the end is near when they no longer care if we realize this or not.

As I stated in a previous comment, this must be what they mean by “transparency in government”.

Their b.s. is becoming so obvious these days, it’s hard to believe even the sheeple can’t see through it.

Both the reporters and the Administration are dropping into the memory hole the fact that last week Obama declined to meet with Netanyahu in NYC this week, which was bad enough, as Netanyahu was going to be at the UN, and no previous Pres had declined to see a Israeli PM when asked.

Worse was when Obama, to rub it in, made arrangements to see a talk show host in NYC in the same time frame, which made Netanyahu furious at the humiliation, but took no action on that account alone.

What really upset Netanyahu was that it was a Black man who had done this to him – blowing raspberries at him, which made it a insufferable snub, and action had to be taken, and was, to teach the `black boy`.

Serious action, as after all, Netanyahu is also in the process of deporting Black Africans from Israel. To Ashkenazi Jews, Blacks are known as Schwartzers – Yiddish for `Blacks`, a racist term.

He got together with the Mossad and directed that a hit be made on the US Benghazi Consulate, and as it happened, with the bonus that this isolated place, relative to Tripoli, would have visiting it the unsuspecting Ambassador himself, as warnings of riotings were not passed on by CIA/State Dept.

Mossad did the hit, and with reluctance, in that they would have realised that both Israeli and US Middle East policy positions developed over years would be destroyed overnight – literally, and advised Netanyahu accordingly, but his mortification at Black man Obama’s pointed snub had to be assuaged, no matter the future cost.

Of course, for every falseflag Mossad op there has to be in position the patsy to take the blame, and in this instance was the hastily cobbled together 14minute clip, Innocence of Muslims, to get millions of Muslims world over rioting – and it now transpires that there is no actual movie.

Proof will begin to emerge that the above narrative was the case is that there is now no way to continue on with the assault against the Syrian govt as the supply of fighters for the Free Syrian Army will dry up as social pressure from their source countries begins to tell – there are about eight of these countries.

Already as a consequence of Netanyahu acting out on his hurt feelings, masses of Turkish people are erupting against the Turkish govt’s support for the FSA, and it won’t be long before Turkey has to put an end to the Free Syria Army’s use of Turkish land as a staging area before they cross into Syria.

As for a combined USrael assault on Iran, daily wheedled for by Netanyahu, fugget it, the Americans would immediately find that the friendly Gulf regimes will be unable to withstand popular pressure against hosting the existing American bases.

And if there are Ghaddafi elements out there in Libya, it would not have helped them in any way to attack a US diplomatic facility to somehow get rid of the new govt, and as the new govt is in because of US military and other assistance last year they therefore could not have any motive.

One last thing, why has there been no media discussion even about the possibility that Netanyahu might have acted on the snub in that way, which necessitated falseflag cover – which cover was predictably seized on by millions of Muslims as deeply offensive, as an alternate explanation for the sudden collapse of US North African, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, South East Asian Policies – all Muslim regions ?

Moderate Muslims have been saying all week long that the film was not the reason for the attacks, they knew it as the facts on the ground tell the real truth. Stop listening to mainstream media and get facts before reacting….this goes for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Of course this was a planned attack, America’s foreign policy is costing lives and Muslims emotional stupidity is doing the same. EVERYONE needs to wake up.

  8. Bert G. says:

Got to say, some pretty good comments. Just looking them over & not knowing who the posters are, leads to the conclusion that justifies the article that:
    1. This was a well planned attack
    2. Intelligence sources KNEW an attack was intiment & no defense actions were taken.
    3. U.S. Foreign Policy for the Mid-East is non-existent
    4. Pissing off a Zionist has dire consequences
