NYPD Officers on Assignment in L.A. Stumble onto Stabbing in Hollywood, Nab Suspect

What business does the NYPD have in LA?

NBC New York

Two NYPD officers on assignment in Los Angeles jumped into action when a man was stabbed at a popular Hollywood destination Wednesday afternoon, police in Los Angeles said.

The victim, a tourist from Russia who was with his wife and kids, was stabbed by a homeless man at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue after some sort of confrontation, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The plainclothes NYPD officers immediately went to assist the victim, described as being between 25 to 30 years old, and held the assailant until LAPD arrived and took him into custody.

“They saw what was going on, intervened, stopped it — arrested the suspect and handed him over to us,” said LAPD Hollywood Capt. Pete Zarcone.

The victim was in stable condition at a hospital and expected to be OK.

The New York officers were looking for a suspect wanted in New York, according to the NYPD. They were not immediately being identified because they were still on assignment in L.A.

  1. “They saw what was going on, intervened, stopped it — arrested the suspect and handed him over to us,”

What… they only “fear for their (miserable, worthless) lives” in their own jurisdiction?

This guy had a knife. That’s always a carte blanche opportunity for the pigs to shoot them these days.
