Obama Admits Public Doesn’t Want War, But Says He Knows Whats Best

U.S. President Barack Obama answers questions during a press conference in the East Room of the White House August 9, 2013 in Washington, DC.Intelli Hub – by JG Vibes

Obama recognizes that a war with Syria will be unpopular with the American people, but says that it is not their decision to make

The popular myth in America and most modern democracies is that the general population decides on important issues that effect their lives.  However the reality is very different from this myth.  In reality the general population has no say at all, their only options are to be persuaded by the politicians and get in line, or shut up and deal with it.

During a press conference at the G20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, Obama admitted that a war in Syria would be unpopular with the public, saying that “It’s conceivable that, at the end of the day, I don’t persuade a majority of the American people that it’s the right thing to do.”

The fierce oposition to the war among the general population will be ignored as it always is, because the politicians believe that they know what is best for everyone.

“Each member of Congress is going to have to decide if [they] think it’s the right thing to do for America’s national security and the world’s national security,” Obama said. “Ultimately, you listen to your constituents, but you’ve got to make some decisions about what you believe is right for America.”

“I was elected to end wars and not start them,” Obama said. “But what I also know is that there are times where we have to make hard choices if we’re going to stand up for the things that we care about. And I believe that this is one of those times.”

Obama also told various blatant lies during the press conference, saying that there was a global consensus that the Assad regime used chemical weapons, when sources in many countries including Russia and China have produced evidence proving that it was the rebels who carried out these attacks.

  1. This Asshole says “it is not the American people’s decision to make”
We must let this jerk know that if he starts a war it is his God Damned War to fight. It is NOT Americans who should go and fight a war they don’t believe in. Let this coward who never served a hour in uniform, never stood a watch, never saluted a superior, never did KP, never swabbed a deck or spent a night in a foxhole…..let him go and fight.
We might need a military revolt about now. Some senior officers should tell him not NO, But, HELL NO.

  2. To President Obama

I voted for you. Something that now looks like a dreadful mistake.
You must face one incontrovertible fact……YOU ARE IN OVER YOUR HEAD. You do not have the mental acuity necessary to act as Commander In Chief in war. Your foreign policy is now a shambles and to call it a shambles is to lend it dignity…..it doesn’t even reach that level of competence.
You are becoming a joke of a leader with the American people turning completely against you. A person such as you does NOT have the right to take this country to war against the will of the people. You will be held accountable if better men than you die because of decisions you make.

  3. The Israeli Lobby will be all over Capitol Hill this week bribing , cajoling and threatening blackmail to our sol-out, corrupt Congress to get them to vote for war against Syria.

Any guess as to who Congress will really listen to?

  4. He does know best if you’re trying to run a nation down the tubes, but someone needs to remind this crack-head who he works for.

  5. The dictator and chief of a president thinks he is going to start a war in Syria against the will of the people, what he just may find is he starts two wars. One in Syria and the other right here on US soil. If he starts this war then the people of these United States of America need to have Obama impeached and congress held accountable for their actions. Anyone in congress, the executive branch, or the judicuary that is found guilty of treason should be executed in public on national TV for the benefit of the citizens and the world.
