Olympic Arms to New York State – Take Your Business Elsewhere

Olympic-Arms-LogoAmmoLand

Olympia, WA --(Ammoland.com)- Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights.

One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines.

We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.

This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.

Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.

Sincerely,

Brian Schuetz
President
Olympic Arms, Inc.

  1. Tom says:

Everyone should be doing this, whether or not they manufacture arms-related products. A year ago I could no longer stomach doing business with the federal government, even though the people I sold to were good people and the agencies I sold to were doing good things with what I sold them. There are too many federal agencies who at best are breaking their contract with me (the Constitution) and at worst are clearly gearing up to kill me. It probably cost me 10% of my income but I’m fine with that, and I’ve made it clear on my website that if the federal gov ever wants to return to sanity and the rule of law, I’ll be happy to resume sales to them.

Yep, me and the misses have a couple of Oly’s in the our preps. I love them! Great Quality and a Great Price… and now we find out.. A Great Owner Named Bryan!!!

I am going to try to contact him with a support email, and contact the other companies listed in this article to encourage them to follow suit.

  2. Mike says:

Very fair and just response from a decent American company. I commend them.

  3. Montgomery Scott says:

As a well-satisfied long-time owner of an Olympic Arms AR-15, I am gratified that I made the correct choice in my patronage of this company. I have chambered well over 1,500 rounds in the past few years (at the range), and have never had a component that failed, and this weapon is in ‘like-new’ condition. Open-sight at 100 yards, this weapon was shooting 4-inch groups ‘out of the box’, and only minor adjustments were needed to close it even further.
I fully support this AMERICAN PATRIOTIC MANUFACTURER in their statements to the commisympathetic State (I hate to point out this FACT) of New York.
My personal protection supplier (at the time) suggested this PARTICULAR personal defense weapon brand-name, and made me a fair deal. He earned my repeat business, and Olympic Arms has earned my loyalty!
The high-quality lower with the light, smooth trigger-pull (even and steady, throughout the stroke) puts the others to SHAME!
As far as I can, I shall repost and spread this letter from them.

    • VoxVeritatis says:

Well said, Mr. Scott, and spot on. I have also had a very similar positive experience with the quality, reliability, and accuracy of an Olympic Arms rifle…and I now have greater respect and pride for the company’s honchos for taking a moral & constitutional stand against tyranny.

  4. tuesdayissoylentgreenday says:

Excellent … ALL should stand with them.

  5. Holy crap? Did he really say that?

Oly Arms! YOU ROCK MY SOCKS!

DAAAAAAMN! It gives me chill bumps when good men grow a pair!

You go Brian! You just go! When all this blows over and we start getting supply again, you can bet I’ll have an AR stamped with that Olympic coat of arms. Nobody gets to waste words like that in my presence. We get your message loud and clear. If I’ve got to walk over broken glass to get an AR you can bet its gonna be an Oly!

What you said and the way you said it means so much to the good people of NY and to all the rest of us. We now know at least one arms manufacturer that stands with us. Man! It sure feels good when you know somebody has your back!

    Thanks Brian!

Hey, new york state lawmakers: pucker up you criminal bastards! We’ll find a way to make sure you wear stripes eventually. Treason is still a crime even when you try to hide from it.

  6. NC says:

HELL YEAH!!! This guy’s my hero. He’s got balls. All should do the same.

  7. farang says:

Well there ya go: Americans responding to anti-American behavior, and no “left vs right” or “liberal vs conservative” nonsense: We ALL must STAND TOGETHER.

DC must be flushed, by term limits or whatever means necessary to re-establish our Constitutional Republic. Frankly, I think 99% of the DC politicians need to be tried, convicted and imprisoned. Of what? Of what not????

  8. Christopher says:

This is absolutely awesome and as a collector I will be supporting all manufacturer doing this and as of now I will only be buying from Olympic Arms. Thank You for your Patriotism.
