This July a new rule is going to come into effect that is going to not only take big money out of the truckers’ pockets, but also force them to run when they don’t want to run, a very dangerous, dangerous situation. FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association) has finally managed to ramrod through a rule that will limit the hours in which a driver can drive his truck across our nation. Currently we are allowed to drive up to 70 hours before we have to do a 34 hour reset. Now they are limiting these resets to 1 a week only. Even more disturbingly they are limiting the time in which we can implement the reset, taking money out of our pockets.
I won’t go into all of the boring details, but long story short, we are going to have thousands of trucks hitting the road right at rush hour in all of the major cities across the nation. If you think traffic is bad now, just wait until July of this year, you’re going to want to sell your car. The new rules are forcing the trucks to all start out at the same times, stupidity at its finest.
The purpose of this article is to show what can happen when somebody in the administration has nothing else better to do, so they request a complete revamp of the current rules our truckers must abide by. Somebody in Washington had a spouse killed by a truck driver and now the whole country is going to suffer. They came up with the FMCSA in 2000 and have been working diligently since then to come up with things to make the truckers’ life miserable, eventually affecting everybody in one way or another. They are trying to limit the speeds in which trucks can travel, trying to tell us when we can sleep and drive, effectively taking away the truckers’ freedom to operate his business the way he feels safest.
Truckers are only allowed to drive 11 hours a day currently. Some of us use this time the way we want. Napping at rest stops when we are tired and basically driving the rest of the time. You see, everybody is different; we require naps and rest at different times, obviously. After we have reached our allotted driving time, we take a 10 break before we start all over again. Problem is you don’t always get a good 10 hour rest period, so we sleep at rest stops when we feel tired. We still manage to get the freight delivered, because if we didn’t, we wouldn’t have jobs. Now they are taking away our ability to sneak in our naps, big mistake.
The FMCSA is still in court pertaining to many more ridiculous regulations they are trying to push through that will affect drivers, speed limits, limits on truck engine emissions costing the driver thousands of dollars to convert over so they are within limits. The American national truck driver is seeing all kinds of freedoms being stripped away, just like they are trying to do with are guns, strip them away. They hate trucks as well as guns.
I just want to emphasize to everybody what the hell is going on out there with all of these crazy new rules and regulations coming down the pike. The truck drivers are currently paying up to six times more in tolls than everybody else. We pay huge fines if we break weight limit rules or hours of service rules. We pay huge fuel bills and permits fees to operate in all 48 lower states.
Company drivers are paid the same as they were back in 1974. We have never had a decent wage increase. Owner operators make more yes, but are being attacked from all sides daily from our so-called government trying to take more every day. They want trucks off the road, that simple. How do these idiots think this country is going to run without trucks?
Without the American truck driver, are so-called leaders wouldn’t be able to do their jobs because they would have nothing to do them with.
They want our guns and hate our truckers. These people are basically trying to change the face of America.

Don’t worry, Mark. They will just have FEMA deliver everything on time for us in the future. We all know FEMA’s great delivery track record, especially when it comes to water and good old TSA can help, as well. lol
Yeah NC,
I didn’t even mention the requirement currently being fought out in court regarding electronic log books. If this ridiculous regulation sees the light of day, we could loose even more money, as well as the ability to nap when we feel tired. The electronic log book will be the death nail to us. Big fight going on in court right now regarding this stupidity. It’s complicated but we have basically a fourteen hour day in which to eat, shower, check our trucks for repairs and 11 hours out of that to drive.
They expect us to drive 600 miles a day, do the math. Obviously we need more driving time, and more money.
If we get hung up at our deliveries it gets taken right out of our 14 day, so we lose big time on our driving time. The electronic logs will be big brother making sure we follow the rules exactly limiting our freedoms to run our business the way we want.
Going to be a huge problem when it comes to our resting when we are tired but unable to because of the electronic log keeping our schedules for us. A lot of freight will be delivered late now causing big problems with the distribution process. They should have just let everything alone. Trucks are not that dangerous, period. We are pros at this, we don’t go looking to kill people on the road.
Sounds like more slave labor which is becoming a common trend in the U.S. lately. Even at my call center job. Granted a slave labor desk job is nothing compared to being out on the open road and having more restrictions being put on you, but you know what I mean.
These f#@king tools know how to ruin everything dont they? I wonder if there could be some sort of Agenda 21 thing going on here where they are purposely trying to create more traffic problems in order to force people to be pro- light-rail system. They sure want to keep a close eye on these trucks and just about everything and everyone else. It makes me sick. It’s no wonder people are doing more and more things ‘illegaly’. I see nothing wrong with cheating an illegal, criminal government.
If they strike or something for two days, they will persuade tptb to stop the BS.
I gave-up my CDL in ’10 , just because of all the idiocy of simply delivering….well….everything.
~Blessed Be to all~
As a driver with 5 million miles I will state that that the regulators are forcing out experinced safe operators and replacing them with dangerous simpletons who will be dangerous.
The regulators have never done any honest studies of any of the perceived problems. They just react to some special interest groups request and the next thing you know there are new regulations that even the enforcers can not interpret.
If you have it many truck drivers brought it. You can not have a successful economy without successful truck drivers.
This nations manufacturing is based on the “just in time” concept. Which means that if the regulators and courts get their way with these regulations American manufacturing will suffer. Then as manufacturing goes, so will the economy. How many average Americans can afford a 15 to 25 per cent increase in the cost of everything and every service?
That is what these regulations will do and you all will pay for the arrogance and ignorance of the regulators.
It’s your turn in the barrel my good buddy trucking friends. The government has caused manufacturing to be outsourced and now they are whittling away at another entrepreneurial business. The government has become our enemy. They want everyone sucking off the government teat or whatever. Until we stand up and rewrite the rules, the government will continue to chip away at everyone’s livelihoods. The only solution to this and many other problems we are experiencing with mother government is to implement RPO. Real people only donate to candidates, Paper ballots for accountability in all elections, One term in office. Period! If we do these simple things the lobbies loose their ability to corrupt, the politicians are elected by people instead of corporations, we can recount the ballots to eliminate fraud, you name it it’s better.
People are getting tired of hearing this kind of horror story. Let’s do something about it. RPO!
Is this part of the globalist plan to collapse the dollar?
ATTENTION TRUCKERS PARK THE TRUCKS NOW AND REFUSE TO MOVE UNTIL THIS ROGUE GOVERNMENT BACKS OFF. DON’T WAIT UNTIL JULY F_CK THEM NOW! GET IT OVER WITH… !!! COUPLED WITH THE GUN FIASCO THAT OBAMA HAS GOT HIMSELF BOUND UP IN ITS A SLAM DUNK. JUST DO IT!
You truckers are the greatest and you deserve better. You guys are the best drivers in the world. We the people are with you. And there are a huge number of patriots out there that are just itching to get rowdy. They’ve had it too.
As a matter of fact tell the government to get f_cked do as you please and call on the militias to give you an escort and put the dynamite truck up front Rubber Duck..
A note to the militias. congregate at the check points and jam up the inspection lanes and be ready to defend the truckers. Enough is enough.
This is communists bullshit in full swing and I believe its time for open season on these no good bastards.
Not only the truckers to shut down but I would like to see the whole american work force shut down until the govt. desides to be on our side instead of against the working public. Our govt. employees do not deserve a paycheck utill they start doing as the original law was meant to be. If every one just up and quit their jobs I can guarentee you that the PTB would be haveing a real problem in this country. Hell, they wouldn`t even know what to do, they are so use to pushing every one around that they wouldn`t know how to even act.
They just hate “people” of which they consider themselves no part of. Take away the peoples’ means of self-defense, restrict their ability to move goods (qv. food) and then restrict their ability to travel (TSA). Pretty obvious, and these are just three really in your face examples.
I have two good friends who are long distance truckers. One lives in Arkansas, and he owns over a dozen guns. The other lives in Texas, and when I saw him last October, he told me he now owns 23 guns.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want to piss off either of these guys.
Not sure when the new rules come into effect, but let me say the rules as they are now were not very good. The rules as they are now for example……
Lets say you got a good nights rest, but you were very low on hours on your 70 to run. Dispatch would say something like ok you have two hours left on your 70, so run from 1200 to 1400 take your 10 hour break, you’ll have hours come back to you and you can run from midnight to 1000. That is not safe and thus wanting to have people run at hours they are used to. How is having people run at times they are used to running a bad thing? Obviously this a game changer and truckers are going to have to paid by the hour and not by the mile. Shippers and receivers are going to have to be much more efficient and not keep truckers in docks for hours and hours as the truckers will be paid by the hour and not the mile. Payment by the hour for OTR truckers is going to happen, because this is the only way this going to work.
With this law, it will be impossible for truckers to run the same amount of miles they once did. OTR truckers will need to be compensated properly for their time out on the road. With these new rules it will be impossible to make good money getting paid by the mile. Truckers are not going to do this job making only three hundred to four hundred dollars a week and with these new rules, that is about what they would make getting paid by the mile.
So once the rules are put in place, truckers will need to be compensated for their time (being paid by the hour) if not, truckers will leave the industry and you need to ask, just who will replace these drivers.
I’ll tell you who, Mexican truckers, who will not have to follow the law under their special VISA status.
If all truckers rebelled — imagine a wall of these huge trucks — 1,000,000 of them — all over the US plowing into gov. buildings, Police stations, gov. officals houses and bankesters buildings — wall street everywhere destroying all gov. buildings right down to their homes — in every state — quite a show I think !
I…liiiike it!
Violence is not necessary. Just shut down the trucks! Park the trucks guys. We’ll see who’s boss in this country. “Truckers Rule!”
-”Hey mom! Where’s the toothpaste?”
-”Somewhere between Kansas City and Cincinnati darling.”
Just wait until the sanitary napkins disappear off the shelves. There’s going to be hell to pay Barky.
“THEY CAN DESTROY OUR ECONOMIC SYSTEM BUT THEY CANNOT DESTROY OUR LIBERTIES, BUT WE AMERICANS CAN GIVE THOSE LIBERTIES AWAY. NOT I! WHAT SAY YOU?” good day
AMERICANS,
The Founding Fathers said something to this effect.
We have given you Liberty,How long can you keep it? Or it’s up to You to keep it,close enough, you should get the point.
Freedom isn’t Free,I thought I was defending my Country, not a bunch of old fat bankers and pedophiles. I threw all my ribbons and medals in the trash. One had 22kt.gold. Who cares. Either we stand on principles or we don’t, many will lose their lives just as in the beginning, but would you rather live as a Slave,we’re suppressed enough.
If you watch TV and Movies Stop It,you’re being subconciously conditioned and don’t even know it. Why do I say this, because a CIA Agent told his brother to never watch TV,now they have Information Officers from FT.Bragg in the Newsrooms. Any clue as to what they are doing there? Anybody want to take a guess? And Yes,there is a Red,Blue & Yellow List, stay away from Facebook also, them and Google are just a few Data-Mining for the future.
I haven’t watched TV in years, but I still love watching movies. You’d be amazed at how much of the NWO’s agenda is put out in the movies these days.
As far as them subconciously conditioning me, I’m WAY past the point where their brainwashing could possibly have the slightest effect on me.
