Police Brutalize & Mace a Young Girl After She Collided with a Car on Her Bike

Free Thought Project – by John Vibes

Hagerstown, MD — This week, multiple Baltimore City Police officers brutalized a young girl after she was hit by a car. According to witnesses, the girl was on a bicycle when she was hit by a car. An ambulance did not arrive on the scene, but police did, and the situation quickly escalated when the girl disobeyed their orders.

According to police, the girl was at fault in the collision.

Bystanders explained that the police pulled her off the bike, slammed her face into the window of the police car, and then sprayed her with mace while she was handcuffed in the back seat of the vehicle. At that point, someone began to record the encounter, and the young girl can be heard screaming in terror, and saying that she could not breathe.

Body cam footage, released after the story became public, shows a similar scene described by witnesses.

Robin Ficker Law Offices made a public post giving an explanation of what happened.

The post read:

“This little girl, 5 ft. 105 lbs, was brutalized by Hagerstown police after, she, on her bike, was hit by a car, but refused medical treatment. They slammed her against a wall, arrested her for refusing treatment, maced her 4 times in the police car while handcuffed, and took her to the police station instead of the hospital!”

Ficker’s office explained that the child never even received medical attention, which was one of the reasons for her being kidnapped by police to begin with.

“The only treatment she got (from the police) was slamming, abuse, and mace,” he said.

The video shows the girl being forced into the vehicle, and the officers can be heard threatening to spray her with mace. One of the bystanders asked the officer why they were taking the girl away and they said that it was for her own safetey, because of the fact that she is a minor they felt that she did not have the right to refuse to go with them.

The officer told the bystander that the girl could have a serious injury, and that it would be a liability to let her go.

Instead, they kept her, and the teen was charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of second-degree assault, possession of marijuana and failure to obey a traffic stop.

This situation is just the most recent example of police using excessive force on people simply because they were disobeying. Disobedience is not a bad thing, and in most circumstances, disobedience is entirely harmless and innocuous.

People disobey their friends, family, and total strangers on a regular basis. However, when someone disobeys a police officer, they risk hospitalization or death, even if they are not a threat to the officer at all, as in this case with the young girl.

  1. Way to “serve and protect”. What is the mindset? “She may be injured, so we’ll assault and brutalize her to make sure she is.” They do everything to escalate a situation instead of trying to diffuse it. It’s no wonder these glorified gang members are being targeted.

  2. “The only treatment she got (from the police) was slamming, abuse, and mace,” he said.”

    Guess what?

That’s about the only treatment ANY of us can expect from the pigs these days.
