Upon his inauguration, the president takes an oath. This oath of office is a bond with the American people, a responsibility the president assumes to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, our rule of law. The president places his hand on the Bible and is, so long as he remains in office, honor-bound to support the rule of law for the American people.
Our radical president, Barack Obama, has been at-odds with the American people since he arrived in the Oval Office. Though he has promised to work for the American people, Obama has continually worked against us. He left Americans to die in Benghazi. His IRS has been systematically targeting political dissenters in a campaign of harassment. He has helped to push catastrophic healthcare reforms that will cripple our economy, devastate healthcare options for millions of Americans and force millions to violate their principles- both religious and political.
Now, the president, angered by having not gotten his way, has blamed Republicans while lashing out the American people by making the government shutdown as hurtful as possible.

Obama’s war on the American people has taken an absurd turn as the focus of his anger has been to target veterans and patriotic Americans who simply wish to view national memorials. These are not his private parks; these are not his memorials to close. These memorials are not pawns in a political game but are monuments dedicated to America’s great leaders and pillars of thanks for those who sacrificed so much for this nation.
To desecrate the memories of so many heroes and patriots in a temper tantrum is abhorrent and despicable.
It’s important to remember that these open-air memorials are not closed on weekends and holidays; President Obama has purposefully sent in guards to block off memorials who would not otherwise be there.
As if that isn’t bad enough the Obama Administration is now telling border security to “stand down” during the government shutdown.
Shawn Moran, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, recently stated that the border patrol has been ordered to stand down, leaving our borders vulnerable not only to cartel violence, but also to the possibility that terrorists could enter from the southern border.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s drugs, bodies, or how large the group is, our agents are being ordered to stand down by Border Patrol management,” said Moran. “I have received reports from our agents in every single sector from San Diego to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas that they are receiving these orders.”
“They are not being relieved in place, they are simply being told that someone else is being dispatched, but none of us have seen that occur,” he said. “We are simply being ordered to stand down and stop tracking and trying to apprehend the criminals.”
The president who is supposed to look out for Americans is welcoming in drug smugglers, human smugglers and all kinds of nefarious criminals to endanger Americans and pretend that it is the Republicans’ fault.
While the president may take an oath to serve the American people, our president continues to threaten the security of Americans.

Shawn Moran, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, following unlawful orders makes YOU responsible. That is correct, when you took your oath to SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE US CONSTITUTION and NOT (NOT!!) an individual leader, ruler, office, faction, or entity that is the CONTRACT you agreed to. Do your job, because if you do not do it, YOU are the responsible party.
One more time…
“Just following orders” or “Just doing my job” is NOT acceptable as defense for YOUR actions in a US court of law. There are many precedents throughout US history – even recent history, including following a US president’s unlawful orders. Those who followed those unlawful orders paid the price. Everyone who takes the oath should already know that!
