Raiders pull arsenal, records from home

KRQE News 13 – by Crystal Gutierrez

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A northeast Albuquerque house is suddenly at the center of a big-time investigation after federal agents pulled enough weapons to supply a small gun shop.

Early Wednesday morning the SWAT team, Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies and federal agents led by Homeland Security Investigations swarmed a home on the 3400 block of Haines Avenue NE.

While the feds are being tight-lipped about the investigation, it was apparent whatever they were walking into was enough concern for a nearby elementary school to lock its doors restricting anyone outside from coming in.

“My wife called me that they had locked down Montezuma School,” a concerned father, who did not want to be identified, said. “I rushed over here.  The first thing you think of is another shooting or something.”

The father, who lives just down the block, found out the feds were serving a search warrant at the home. By midmorning federal agents pulled out a computer, a handgun and boxes of paperwork.

By Wednesday afternoon dozens of rifles were hauled out of the house, bagged as evidence and laid out on the lawn.

Homeland Security investigators would not say why they were taking the guns or who they were investigating. They did say that nobody had been arrested as of Wednesday night.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office would not give specifics about the case only saying the investigation is ongoing.

The school was “locked down” (like a prison) to add drama to what’s probably an illegal gun confiscation, and to condition the kids to grow more accustomed to slavery and imprisonment.

I don’t recall seeing any limits on the second amendment. If this guys wants to own a few hundred rifles, he’s perfectly within his rights to do so. A few dozen rifles (as was seized here), might be found in the home of any gun collector, but if the BATF knows they exist, they’ll probably seize the opportunity to create another “gun nut” headline, and seize a bunch of firearms at the same time.

No one needs to know how many guns you have, or where they’re stored. Loose lips sink ships, and we’re living in a world of spies rather than one of “terrorists.” Know who you’re talking to, and be very cautious about making any new “friends” these days, regardless of how much they may seem to be in agreement with your political views.

and our country shouldn’t have “raiders”. Anyone with a legitimate search warrant, signed by a judge, and issued upon probable cause, should politely knock on your door and inform you of the existence of such a warrant.

Anyone kicking your door down is a criminal that you need to protect yourself from.

Hmmm. Nobody was arrested wonder if they had a search warrant? wonder if this was an extension of the Bush doctrine? Preemptive strike of a perceive threat.

The reporter mentioned the “evidence” being loaded into the vans. But no one was arrested for any crimes. No one can even show any reason for suspecting a crime ever took place. So, the “evidence” wasn’t evidence at all. It was property. Private property.

Why would a reporter get it so wrong unless they were trying to imply guilt of a crime? What, is owning a gun a crime in her eyes? Is owning dozens of guns a crime? Sound like the guy made a sound investment as those guns have gone up in value considerably in the last month.

Filling little kid’s hearts with fear at a school when no crime has even been implied is a lousy thing to do.
