A single mother in Georgia used a firearm to stop a car thief on Friday night. The attempted theft took place just one night after the woman’s apartment was broken into.
Among the items stolen – the spare key to her Jeep. Fearing that the suspect(s) may return, the woman kept her handgun close by.

When she heard someone trying to steal her car the very next night, she leapt into action. The woman saw what was happening from her balcony and then ran outside with her firearm.
The woman told the suspect to stop, but he did not comply. The woman then opened fire on the suspect, emptying the magazine of her firearm.
The suspect jumped out of the passenger door of the vehicle and fled the scene. He remains at large.
Neither the woman nor her young daughter were harmed. As far as can be told, all rounds fired hit the vehicle with the majority going into the driver side of the cabin. Blood was found in the car, but it’s unclear if the suspect was hit by the rounds.
It does seem the entire incident took place on the woman’s property based on media reports. What is not clear is if the suspect was backing the vehicle towards the woman when she opened fire. That said, I don’t see a prosecutor in GA charging a single mother who stopped a felony anytime soon.

What the bloody h&ll difference does it make if the perp was backing up toward her(on the balcony?) These reporters have heard that excuse from the cops so often they think its the only reason for firing at a criminal suspect.

If your not there you dont know what transpired or what the threat looked like to her
obviously this was the perp who did a B and E on her place or how would he have the key to her jeep, in my way of thinking this is enough reason to put the fool in the ground, shes protecting her life and her childs life..had nothing to do with the jeep, she needed to make sure he’s not coming back and if that ment lights out dirt nap for the perp , than fine ..shes justified
