Two people tried to drive over the U.S.-Mexico border fence in an SUV earlier this week in Arizona, but the vehicle got stuck on top of the barrier, media reports said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday near Yuma, Arizona, and was covered by a number of U.S. media outlets, with reporters speculating that it was an attempt to smuggle drugs or illegal immigrants into the United States.
Border Patrol agents spotted the vehicle around midnight and saw two individuals flee into Mexico.
The individuals used ramps to try to drive the Jeep Cherokee over the border fence, but the vehicle lost traction and got stuck.
Smugglers operate in the area, but drug cartels usually use tunnels to move narcotics across the border.
A Border Patrol agent was killed in the same area in 2007 when he tried to stop a vehicle using spikes.

Make me proud to be from Yuma! I didn’t know we had fences that nice around here. All I ever see is like rusty pipes coming out of the ground about six feet tall, 2 feet a part, with a little barbed wire strands here and there. With well warn looks like deer trails running through it everywhere. hehe A few months ago they busted them using a small crane to lift trucks over it.

Umm…do these idiots know that 40% of the bordered fence is less than 3 feet high with zero ICE agents guarding it? Why didn’t they just go to that area? Yet they decide to go over the 20 ft high fence with border patrol everywhere. I mean who’s the dumbass here? Someone didn’t do their homework.
