Taxpayers shelled out millions of dollars in 2013 when the golf-addicted President Obama took Air Force One to Florida on vacation and played a round of golf with Tiger Woods, according to a new government study.
From Feb. 15-18 in 2013, the president went on a four day trip that included an official speech in Chicago and some leisure time in Palm Beach, Florida.
According to a forthcoming report by the Government Accountability Office that was obtained early by The Daily Caller, the government spent a total of $3.6 million to fly, protect and support the president during this trip to Illinois and Florida.
The GAO report was requested by Sen. John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming. The letter was sent during the political debates of 2013 over the automatic spending cuts to government services, known as sequestration.
In November of 2013, Barrasso — who was the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure — asked the comptroller general of the United States to have the GAO “assess the costs to taxpayers for President Obama’s trip to Florida in February.”
“At a time when government agencies and programs were preparing to implement tough cost-saving measures in order to meet the budgetary constraints of sequestration,” Barrasso wrote, “President Obama chose to use taxpayer money for a weekend trip to play golf. I have heard from a number of concerned constituents in my state who believe the money used for this trip could have been spent in a manner that would have reduced the federal deficit or have helped reduce the impact of sequestration on the public.”
The new GAO report examines what the Department of Defense — which operates Air Force One — and the Department of Homeland Security — which runs the U.S. Secret Service — spent on the trip.
Of the $3.6 million spent, $2.8 million were incurred by the Defense Department while $770,000 was spent by the Department of Homeland Security.
The report said the figures include the costs of Air Force One, supporting aircraft and U.S. Coast Guard small boats. It also includes travel expenses for Defense and Homeland Security personnel.
It does not include “certain classified DOD costs” and the regular salaries of government civilian and military personnel that traveled with the president.
The report notes that the president always flies on military aircraft — regardless of whether it is for official business or not.
“According to White House officials, to be able to communicate instantly with the U.S. military, the President flies on military aircraft whenever he travels — whether for official, political, or other non-official reasons,” the GAO study notes.
For this trip, Obama flew from Joint Base Andrews on Feb. 15 and gave a speech in Chicago to discuss proposals made days earlier in his State of the Union address. Following the speech, he flew to Palm Beach and returned to Washington on Feb. 18.
According to the report, “GAO examined cost data from DOD and DHS on aircraft operating costs, per diem expenses, and other significant costs. Additionally, GAO interviewed knowledgeable officials from the White House, DOD, and DHS who were involved in supporting presidential travel.”
As the Associated Press reported at the time, “Once the sport’s dominant player before his career was sidetracked by scandal, Woods joined Obama at the Floridian, a secluded and exclusive yacht and golf club on Florida’s Treasure Coast where Obama is spending the long Presidents Day weekend. The two had met before, but Sunday was the first time they played together.”
“The White House,” the AP added, “which has promised to be the most open and transparent in history, has prohibited any media coverage of Obama’s golf outing.”
So, what is the total amount the Obongos have cost the taxpayers for their
non-business activities? It’s almost as disgusting as Hitlery’s face!

What greater good could 3.6 million do? That a day of flights and a golf game could cost that much – billed to the people as part of the ‘never ending debt’ is just so blatantly disgusting no matter how you look at it. Who approves this as an acceptable expense and expenditure for any one person? God/ Allah// Buddah doesn’t even charge that much!!!!!! The 3.6 million for that one trip on that one day could fund how many projects – oh Community organizer Obama? School funding, health care? And you spend 3.6 million to play golf on one day? How much have all your days of golf, not to mention all the many holiday and travel expenses incurred by all of your ‘family’ over 8 years indebted the American people for? WOW!!! 3.6 million for your one trip for just you? Add the whole family, over 8 years …. I can’t even begin to calculate how much you have charged the American people for just your holidays and personal travel. And what ‘Change” as you promised did you deliver in your 8 years? The mere pennies on our dollars that our labor is now worth? Obama, oh yes you arrived with student debt, from a single mom, white no less, raised by grandparents, poor to middle class – somehow you went to Harvard though, just a community organizer, and you have no problem spending 3.6 million dollars to go golfing? Disgusting disgusting disgusting. Multiply that by every day you have been in office. And sadly I was one who believed in you. Millions of Americans believed in you – and WE have been wholey BETRAYED by YOU.
WE ALL KNOW IT. We are done with media bullshit propaganda. We see past the scripted terror events – we elected you to disclose 9/11 and jail the traitors and stop the war crimes at Guantanamo, but then you gave them all a pass. You gave the traitors a pass. and then scripted Sandy Hook and Boston and propelled us even further into the false narrative Of domestic terrorism.
The only domestic terrorism occurring is that which is orchestrated by our government and grandstanded by our media – to achieve the people’s continued subjugation by YOU, who’s end-game is to gain levels of financial profits that ensure and maintain your place of dominance over all of the ‘people’, or the ‘sheep’ as you call us.
We do know. Do you really think your reign of deceit will last?
We will take back our freedom from those of you who place yourselves above us – through the money you steal and extort from us to exhalt yourselves as rulers and decision makers, as a privileged class.
You have no special privilege or right and we take away that which you claim.
We will not allow our progeny to be fooled by you in to believing they owe you anything. We expose you now for the frauds that you are, for the corruption that has taken over our lives and the freedom that is ours despite all the false laws and regulations you enact without our consent.
