My Fellow Americans, Patriots and Fighters,
After reading the article on our site, “Will You Fight”?, and the myriad of responses, I thought it may be worthwhile to point out a few considerations on what will become the most important question, and action Americans will be taking in the near future, which is:
“Will you fight?”
Let me first state, it seems to be a mathematical certainty at this point, that a civil war, or revolutionary is a forgone conclusion. Not because decent Americans insist on one, but because our wholly criminal, and no longer legitimate government is bent on making one occur.
When this subject is discussed, the typical response has been anything from “Jesus will save”, to “I will die fighting if necessary”.
Herein lies one of those commonly stated perspectives that I would like to try and get Patriots, Americans and other would be fighters to consider.
Instead of saying, “When they come for my guns, I will die fighting.”
Let us start saying: “When they come for my guns, they are going to get killed.”
This little shift in perspective is more than semantics, its sets a whole new psychological paradigm that will grow and expand in our thoughts and actions with time, and one that will help foster a sense of need and morality of our actions when that time comes.
As for actual fighting, allow me to put forth a few thoughts for consideration:
When the first physical confrontation happens, it will only be the beginning.
Even if we took the country back today, without a single shot, the fact is, the laws of economics will assert themselves, and their will be hard times ahead. It took decades to destroy our economic base, and you can be sure it will take a decade or more to restore it, and that would be in a “perfect world”
Problem: We will not take this country back in a single day, and this is not a perfect world.
Our necessity, as Patriots and Americans, is to stay alive and maintain a posture of Mission-Capable.
This means NOT getting ourselves killed, injured or wounded to the best of our abilities.
As Patton said, you don’t win by dying, you win by killing. Mission Effectiveness criteria dictate that you need to be alive and fully capable in order to be fully mission capable at any time.
This means you need to keep a low profile, retain your stocks & stores, do not do anything to draw attention to yourself, and quietly, seek out others who are of the same mindset.
We know what is coming, it is our job to hold fast, and let them make the first overt moves. Give them every chance to expose their weaknesses, allow them to feel overconfident, let them think they may win this easily.
Of course I have not yet addressed the whole point of, “what if they come to YOUR house and demand your guns?”
Well, this depends on what preparations you have made.
Did you hide them beforehand? Are they right there in your safe room or bedroom? Is this happening across the country or your state? Has civility already broken down? Do you have children who depend on you? What about a wife? Do you have the advantage at that moment?
In short, there is no right answer for any given individual.
As I have discussed before here, and on Henry’s show, you need to decide your “threshold moment” NOW, before that trigger event (or a similar one) has materialized.
This “Threshold Event”, MUST be carefully considered, as you are going to make it your “automatic response” event, which will also be your “all-in” event, so let me annotate just a few considerations:
1) The moment you decide to fight back, you now have a completely different attitude towards life, this government, and the role it now serves (you now understand this government is completely criminal and will not put up with it anymore).
2) The moment you decide to point a firearm,… or ANY weapon at ANY representative of this government, you have gone, “all-in” & they now view YOU as the criminal! (How dare you to even THINK of fighting back!)
3) Now that you have openly displayed a notion of self defense, and an unwillingness to accept any further destitutions or abuses, you have placed these government thugs in response mode.
4) This criminal government will see it as its MANDATE to eliminate any persons or signs of resistance.
5) Once you have crossed that Threshold-Moment, and point any weapon at any government agent, they will see it as there job to exterminate you (in the most brutal fashion possible), or to arrest you and make a circus out of it. Either act, will be done with the intention to intimidate all others.
6) They will try to kill you, or try to imprison you for life while taking full advantage of its propaganda value, in addition, they may destroy your home, blowing it up, or burning it, or may simply “seize” it, as that is one of their ultimate objectives anyway.
That is a just a few considerations.
The reality is, once this starts, it will be protracted process, it may drag on for months, even years, so do not be anxious to join the fray to quickly, there will be time for that. Apply critical thinking skills to analyze the situation as best as conditions permit, always.
Am I saying to NOT fight?
No, absolutely not, just that it should not a knee-jerk type reaction.
There will be long term consequences to any set events however they unfold, and our goal is to maintain a mission ready capability as long as possible, to retain our home and productive means as best as possible, and to understand this will be a protracted process.
In the end, it may come to down to an instant sh*t fight, with little to no time to think anything over, hence why it is best to know your line of demarcation now, and what is your potential “all-in” scenarios, as we may all be facing that very soon indeed.
Get ready, talk this over with your loved ones, friends, and neighbors you can trust. We will all be needing each other more than ever very soon.

I have never stated that I would die fighting if they come to take my weapons, but have stated I am willing to die to protect the freedoms of my children and future generations to come. I have also stated that if they come to my house for my firearms, under any unconstitutional premise, they better have a bunch of body bags in tow because they will damn sure need them.
Good article, J.D. Some excellent points being made here,one of them being that we don’t know exactly how of where this will begin.
I’ve considered a lot of different possible scenarios, and tried to prepare for as many options as possible. These, like the author said, will be different for all of us, because we’re all in different environments and living under different circumstances. The important thing is that they ARE though out in advance, so you can be ready to respond sensibly, and victoriously.
And as far as the question of “will you fight?” is concerned, a better way to consider it is “what will happen if you don’t fight?” Are you expecting sympathy or kindness from these madmen?

I should have thought of that to incorporate into the article, but at least you mentioned it so people will see it here in the comment section.
Its actually an excellent point, due to the fact that when it is phrased as, “Will you fight?”, it puts us in the context of being an option at being left alone, as compared to when it is phrased, “What will happen to you if you don’t?”, puts in the context of being forced to realize they will never leave you alone until you kill them.

Thank you, this subject deserves a lot of thought from all of us no matter what our current situation in life is.
I dont think any one amongst us really wants to die, while we may be at peace with our maker, there will always be a natural desire to survive.
The founders were all persecuted for their rolls in the chain of events that eventually gave birth to our nation as i feel anyone who tries to preserve our liberty may face when this turning finally happens.
I just dont understand how the hell we have gotten so far away from the basic principals that the country was founded upon, and it is a sad moment for all of us to realize that we may have to give up everything in order to remain a free people. Time will tell what events will shape our future, i only hope that there are enough of us to be effective in our vigilance against those who would sell out to anything other than the values and principals that shaped our lives and hopes and the country that we all once knew. Make no mistake, there are definitely evil intentions at work within our government for us to even have to consider these issues. A country that prides itself on freedom and opportunity does not send its manufacturing overseas, it does not sell out its people for the benefit of foreigners and it does not try to push its agenda and ideals on people and cultures that do not want them.
It is time for a reset. It is time to have faith that we can and will at some point be truly free once again.
The fact that most are afraid to say anything because the government will come down on them says it all. For some of us it is too late to keep a low profile, but to all those who nod their heads in agreement with the many posts on the many sites that are reaching to expose the truth, and who speak in private to friends and neighbors know this, there are many out there who feel the same way but who do not know who to trust. Just know and have faith that right will prevail, your soul and your resolve to give your children or others children the same life you were once told you could have will be the light and the strength to make the right decisions and moves.

I agree and it has been my mind set all through my military service and even now in my Oathkeeper state. You don’t win by dying, you win by killing and demoralizing your enemy thereby removing his will to fight.
When they are at the door, it is too late to shoot. Give them what they want. Not all plans should be revealed. Suffice it to say that SCOTUS has said in several cases that people have the right to resist with lethal force those that attempt to violate our civil rights. JD, I almost always admire what you write. You are a true and quite eloquent inspiration to the Republic. However, this article almost implies that some should consider not fighting if and when the murderers arrive at their doors. This is thoroughly inconsistent with virtually everything I have read which you authored.

1. They have stolen virtually all the meager wealth of the world.
2. With direct warfare, they have murdered well over 250,000,000 worldwide in the past century.
3. They have concealed cures for man made diseases like cancer, causing untold hundreds of millions of additional agonizing deaths.
4. They have embedded lethal poisons in our air, our food, and our water.
5. They have executed untold hundreds of millions of beautiful Animals like Dogs and Cats, which could have been saved, with a merely a fraction of the costs of just the illegal Vietnam hoax war.
6. They have executed leaders like the Kennedys, MLK, and musicians like Hendrix, Lennon et al.
7. They have publicly stated their genocidal intent to depopulate to under 500,000,000 people, or better said MURDER over 6,500,000,000 people.
8. They have attacked us in overt acts of war on our soil numerous times and murdered thousands of civilians.
9. They have directly caused the deaths, or better said murders, of over 1,000,000 ++ US Soldiers with illegal contrived wars THEY started, beginning in WW 1.
10. They have destroyed the planet with waste and corporate poisons and waste.

There are THREE intellectual paradigms that need to be thought of here.
The PESSIMIST states that they will, no doubt, DIE (either fighting, or cowering).

The failure of the author was clear at this point, in not pointing out the THIRD option.
The REALIST accepts the fact that overwhelming firepower will come to bear against him if he resists tyrrany; but has enough courage and honor to resist, DESPITE the so-called ‘odds’. Yes, US Marine FT, the “Threshold Moment” is one I’ve contemplated over the last few years almost on a daily basis. Exhilarating yet equally disconcerting. There is something very simple, yet deeply enlightening in your article. It really extracts that “moment in time” where one finds them self truly at the point of no return, totally immersed in the corridor between life and death whereby, “this is it, this is NO DRILL” I AM NOW ALIVE AND FULLY AWAKE; a moment to stay cool as a cucumber and clear as a mountain lake and methodically follow that “automatic response”, while being infinitely flexible to adapt to any deviation that might arise.
It’s late and I’m tired, but I appreciate this article. It is truly the proverbial “button pusher” because it addresses what we will all be confronting soon, whether we want to or not. I hope you can expand on this information.

I think the better question is, “Have you seen ‘The Chekist’?” After that you ask,” Is that how you wish to die?” All those other questions asked within the article to be quite frank, are moot and inconsequential.
One of three things shall happen to you in the end of this. You’ll live, you’ll die with honor fighting, or you will die like a dog at the hands of the Red Terror. So again the real question you have to ask yourself is have you seen “The Checkist”, and is that how you wish to die? The rest shall fall into place once answered.
I want to commend you again, JD, on your profoundly accurate assessment of that unique point in time when all of us will be faced with our “threshold moment”. While reading the many comments here it’s clear to me that some who profess to be “ready” are anything but that. Having a small arsenal along with an “holier than thou” attitude of “from my cold dead hands” means nothing, until the reality of this potentially overwhelming moment tests their emotional, or mental, or physical fortitude, up close and personal, during their own personal threshold moment. You’ve really hit the proverbial nail on the head with this one. Keep delving deeper, addressing the various ramifications related to this subject. When people criticize the truth, being so eloquently laid out before them, it’s usually because some fear-based reaction has just got triggered inside them and their Ego cannot be contained.

Some of us are to old now to live under total slavery…(yes I know we have a form of slavery now…) and if thats the answer to the final equation….then I have decided to die as I live…resisting.
I dont have a fantasy dream that we will all rise up and gloriously kick their ass and take back our nation. Our enemy has too many unplayed hands not showing at the table yet. Be it HARRP DARMA Off World TECH….BIO Weapons or NUKES. Even still,..I and many others will resist with our very life’s.
This conflict could go on for many years and what remains afterwards will not be anything we recognize as AMERICA. This could well cause the deaths of 2/3 of the Worlds Population before the smoke clears….and even if not…this country would most likely break up into various large sections where the govt. fears to tread. I seen and heard many folk who only think of the coming battle,….but there will be life for some after its all over…then what? We all gonna run to the woods and kill deer???…catch fish to eat??
I started in the Survival/Patriot/Militia movement back in the early 80′s. Back then more folks were concerned about surviving the conflict and moving forward . I dont see that so much today. I see 90% only concerned about the fight with no regards of survival when its done.
I understand we must take things one at a time…..but we still need to focus and plan on plan B,C,D……and more.
