The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently raided one of our readers: a kitchen table FFL dealer who does everything—everything—by the book. He has, however, consistently criticized the ATF for its unconstitutional regulations and long history of extra-legal activities. This is his story. Update to follow, after he consults with his lawyer . . .
First of all, forget about them coming to the door. They’ll intercept you on your way home from the Doctor’s office (for example), then one vehicle will come up behind you and two will block your way in front and turn on the flashing lights. They then jump out with ‘real’ assault rifles, point them at you and order your hands up, and exit the vehicle. You, being a law abiding citizen, comply. At gunpoint, they order you to assume the position against your car, handcuffs you and frisk you, and you’re directed to get into the back seat. Then the lead agent gets into the driver seat and drives your car to your driveway. You sit there with cuffed hands behind you – bleeding.
As multiple vehicles close off the street and announce over a loudspeaker for all your neighbors to remain indoors (and are prohibited from leaving), the lead agent calls your house and directs your wife to come out of the house – and sit in the front seat. She does. Then the Homeland Security Special Tactical Unit, and the county sheriff Swat Team arrive, and drive two armored cars over the curb onto the lawn, as the “Jack Booted Thugs” with machine guns, helmets, boots, camo, etc. enter and search your house.
You see a Homeland Security Helicopter circling overhead. You are asked if you have any explosives (well, several cans of black powder….) and are there any booby traps in the house. They offer to let you read the search warrant, but your hands are cuffed behind your back. The agent in your car reads it very quickly.
After the Jack Booted Thugs are through, teams arrive to search and ransack the house. After about an hour, you are released and NO CHARGES are filed. You are required to stay beyond the perimeter as they set up tables in your yard and begin to paw through and process your worldly possessions.
You finally realize that they’re going to keep an eye on you, but you go to a neighbor to make phone calls – and find a good lawyer, who arrives on site, but is kept out by the agents. The agents search one of your cars and release it to you. Hours later, knowing there is nothing you can do on site, you leave and arrange a motel for the night.
Later, about 9PM (12 hours later), you phone your house and an agent answers, then advises you they’re about to leave. You drive to your house to see four Feds in your front yard, ready to leave. They tell you they don’t know where the house key is (which you gave them), nor where your cat is. They hand you a copy of the search warrant, but fail to provide a copy of the inventory (which they give you two days later).
You examine your house. Your computers are gone along with every extra & old hard drive, all data cds, floppies, thumb drives, compact flash drives, and other SD drives for your camera. But most shocking, is that your entire gun collection, which you spent a lifetime building, is gone.
Antique guns, airguns, non-guns. Virtually everything. One antique shotgun lies broken on the floor. Papers are strewn everywhere. Once they looked at it, and didn’t want it, they just tossed it aside. Piles of paper. The house is trashed – every room. Your clothing has been ransacked. Your wife’s clothing and underwear. You don’t even know what is missing. You look around, feel sick, lock up the house and go to the motel.
You return the next day to try to start to get things back in order, but realize it will take weeks.
Later, you find out that the affidavit which justified the search warrant is sealed – and you can’t even find out why they searched and seized. A few days later, the sworn affidavit is unsealed, and you find out that the agent lied repeatedly, told half-truths, speculated about possible violations, and related his ‘suspicions’ with no basis in fact – and that the search warrant is nothing more than a gigantic fishing expedition to see what they could find . . .

That Sucked!! It reminds me of a time quite a few years back at the firm old age of 25, or so, while driving down the road one afternoon, out of no where an unmarked police car decided to pull up in front of my Hippie van, while I had another stop directly behind me, then one on both sides, I could go no where. Then while every plain clothes cop in the city jumps out of their police mobiles guns drawn, while everyone of them were screaming at the top of their lungs, which made me think that they were either in a contest to see who can scream the loudest, or they all just gave me the feeling that I wasn’t liked very much by them, or I hurt one of the guy’s feelings, and he was out to get me, but I found out what they were aall made at me for, and what I am about to tell you, I couldn’t believe that they would have thought, that a Peace, Love, and Understanding type guy, with hair down to the middle of my back, would have done what they thought I did, that I just had to laugh my ass off, which pissed them off even the more that they started to beat the hell out of me, right in front of the world, while cars were driving by as friends that knew me would blow their horns while they passed me on by, with blood coming out of every hole on, what was my face. Anyway, it wasn’t guns at that time, they accused me of being the drug king pin of my whole state, of course I replied, “whaaaaat”, I was surprised as anyone would have been if it happened to them. They then proceeded to strip my van to the bare bone, I couldn’t believe it, then were laughing their ass off then, while they looked back at me, then I remember that one of them saying, “hey faggit, if you don’t like what we are doing here in front of you, your definately not going to like what the other half is doing at your pad”. That blew me away, but there wasn’t a thing that I could do about it in the early seventies. After they found nothing, they let me go. When I got home, I realized that they never found my stash, but they definatly found the right home, I walked in, and I couldn’t recognize my own home, there was nothing in it’s place, even sugar, powder, rice, meats, everything, holes in the walls, it was a mess. And, now this what we are facing with this president, and how I can hardly recognize the United States of America. It a diffrent time for me, those days have been long gone, but now I see and hear what may happen anyday to Americans, my question is, are we going to put up with it? I’m not, I already faced the gustopo, I will not face them again, and do nothing as they kick the shit out of me, I will fight back this time.
My home was raided in a very similar manner about 10 years ago over a trumped up postal violation. All of my guns and many personal items were stolen and never returned. Each time the feds commit these types of criminal acts, they make more enemies. That’s why all federal buildings are now protected like fortresses.
That may work a few times but will take a long time to do when you have almost 200 million gun owners in this country. How the hell are you going to pull all of that off in a few years? After word gets out that 10 or more people had this happen, everyone will be on their guard and it won’t last.
It seems to me that it was fort benning georgia that has trained 5 man delta force teams from south america to kill american dissidents when the dollar collapses.This is why I say bring our troops home,under a constitutional government.Secure the Mexican border,prosecute the traitors within our government which will automatically reduce the size of it.Have a truly constitutional inquiry into the chicanery that goes on between the congress and the bankers as any thinking person knows that the Rothschilds and Rockefellers are responsible for two world wars and are more than willing to start a third.They sit back and watch while nations destroy each other because of conditions they have created and profited from.I say the third world war should be fought between the blue bloods.And after they all die of heart attacks running away from the war just think of all the resources that will be left to the populations who actually deserve them.And still I think we should preserve the queen and the pope.In the zoo of archaic human munipulation.Naw,that would be too much like those who fight the monster and in the process become the monster.Better to have them instruct our youth in the mathematics of the universe that they have kept from us in order to rule us.There’s no such thing as bad vibrations.Only good ones that you are kept from experiencing.Yea,I’m crazy.Like a fox.Or an amoeba.
I won’t go into detail of similar experiences between myself,my friends and acquaintences over the years.But all in all I have come to believe strongly in government regulation for the common good.It is only a matter of if the commoners are posessed of enough good to regulate that government.Does anyone out there realize that Obama is a loner puppet under the control of his zionist cabinet?That Bush was the same,reading alligator books to children at a florida elementary school while dick cheney orchestrated 9/11?You think I’m crazy?Crazy is when 90% of people would rather wallow in fascist government lies than look into the truth for their own good and that of their families and neighbors.Even when their own families and neighbors are too indoctrinated to do it for themselves.There’s a lot of coincedence theory going around.The conspiracy has already been exposed.
Don’t kid yourself. If you’re on their radar, they’ve already been in your home while you were out. Invest in clandestine video surveillance that uploads to a private server. Add that, plus a cheap battery backup (UPS) to your prep list.
They have no place to hide after work. No place where someone might not be setting up an ambush. They’re outnumbered and there is nowhere they can be safe.
This is why all these jackbooted thug teams always wear these Swat team black ski masks and helmets and face shields that hide their faces. They are fearful of being recognized ‘after work’, and followed back to their homes.
That’s really the reason for it. After all, if they are out terrorizing and brutally attacking people in their homes, then they started this tactic and therefore, wouldn’t it be a perfectly reasonable expectation for these thugs to receive a comparable dose of what they are dishing out?
I hope the wives and children of these jackbooted thugs realize that what their primary breadwinner is doing will eventually put them at risk, and try to use their influence to encourage a career change before that day arrives.
Either that, or divorce the psychopath, take 3/4s of everything he owns and leave with the kids – fast.
