Why do you assume that “If we have war,we all lose”, and what do you propose as sensible alternatives to war for people who are being attacked?
I don’t want war, and I don’t think any sane person does, but the fact of the matter is that peaceful avenues of change have been pursued for decades, and it’s only resulted in increased attacks by our aggressors. People discuss war because the peaceful options have been exhausted, and met with violence every time. So what exactly do we “win” by continuing a peaceful response to violent attacks?
If you want to stroll around penniless and dressed in a bed-sheet like Ghandi, you can be a “winner” too. I’d rather keep my freedom, my home and my property, and it doesn’t seem like anyone in our government is going to allow me to do that peacefully.
You want peace? Join the millions who have been trying to convince our gov’t to stop waging war for decades. It hasn’t worked so far, but I guess you feel that’s all going to change just because you don’t want to fight.
I don’t want to fight either. Please tell me what choices I have that don’t include being robbed and/or killed by our government. When you have some real answers and viable alternatives you might also have an opinion that makes sense, but rolling over and dying just to make things more convenient for those who attack me doesn’t sound too sensible to me.
# 2 and # 3 I agree with, but as far as a shotgun, I’d prefer a Benelli semi auto.
