What They Say During A Brady Campaign Conference Call…

How can we get it through their thick skulls that they need to register their guns?” Asks Katie, from North Bend , Oregon, during a Brady Campaign conference call that focused on gun control legislation in the state. “I’m a thousand percent supporter of gun registry, but what I have a feeling is that the paranoid people who are against it, they always seem to have something to hide, and that perhaps that is why they don’t want to register their guns… How can we get it across to the paranoid group to please register their guns? How can we get it through their thick skulls that they need to register their guns?”

Dan Gross, president of the Brady Campaign and Oregon state Senator Ginny Burdick try to run damage control on the delusional woman, and instruct her on how to redirect her talking points. Senator Burdick says this isn’t about “registration”, but has been previously seen outright calling for registration in a prior video.

This portion of the call was captured in this video:

  1. I have the answer Katie. You and all of your buddies who want us to register…put a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger. When the world is devoid of evil men who mean to control the world by force, I will register my guns the very next day. But , then there would be no one left to care. The relationship is obvious, only tyrants demand that others expose themselves to risk.

  2. It amazes me how this lady and people like her feel so strongly that gun registration is the answer to curbing or controlling gun violence. They never seem to have the ability to perform critical thinking and work the problem through to a logical end. Gun registration = less violence in their minds. Just ridiculous. Gun registration never has worked, never will work and was never intended to work in the first place; except for the purpose of having a road map to where all the guns are located.
Nope, no sense in trying to reason with these people. I don’t wish bad on this lady, nor do I wish this to happen, but just how would her mindset change if her home were broken in to – and all she needed was a gun to protect herself. Would she be willing to register it so the police knew where it was? Just a hypothetical.

  3. but what I have a feeling is that the paranoid people who are against it, they always seem to have something to hide, and that perhaps that is why they don’t want to register their guns…

Neither do I want to hide my lust for freedom nor my hatred for tyranny.

    1. Yea, that line got me too. We have nothing to hide, just have no desire to register our guns. It’s a matter of freedom and liberty. Why should we have to register anything? What if the left had to register their ‘free’ birth control or their visits to abortion clinics???

  4. There is no argument here, gun registration is the first step towards gun confiscation. Do they think we’re stupid or what?

    1. Absolutely Millard! There is no sincerity in these people. I don’t know how they say the things that they say with a straight face. I have no interest in trying to reason with them. They know exactly what they are asking for. They are cockroaches and should be crushed like the vermin they are. If anyone still believes these people are well meaning, you are intentionally in denial.

“We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”

  5. register what?? I don’t register anything when it comes to infringement of the second article. Period.

Go sit in a corner and suck your thumb. We will come for you when we’re ready.

        1. I am in possession of digger’s finely woven hemp rope. I do need to put a good noose on it but it can be ready when the time comes. I do need to do do some maintenance with it and I’ll prepare the noose for a picture taking moment.

    1. 🙂 😉 😆
      BTW
Did you see our comments re. the story earlier today?
There has always been, and only will be, ONE “diggerdan” on this site (on this Earth) 😉 🙂 <3

          1. Henry had to call me and tell me it was an old post. How embarrassing! It was surreal reading some of digger’s old posts though, damn I miss that guy.

          2. Yes. I think of him everyday, also. Miss him. 😥
It took me aback, at first, as I was not able to read the original post. I had to check the time stamps on the comments. It was a bit freaky seeing all the old comments (oldvet, passed on before digger).
            Glad Henry called you.
