GAINESVILLE, Florida (KRON) — A Florida woman may pursue legal action against police and prosecutors after she spent more than a month in jail for possession of SpaghettiOs.

Police say they arrested 23-year old Ashley Gabrielle Huff after they found a spoon covered with a suspicious residue inside the car she was riding in.

From the beginning Huff insisted that she wasn’t using, selling, or making methamphetamines.

The woman spent more than a month in jail while her attorney tried to arrange a plea bargain. That’s when the crime lab report came back confirming the spoon was encrusted with spaghetti sauce.

She was then released from custody.

Police say they were acting in good faith. Huff may now pursue legal action against the police departments, the jails, and the D.A.’s office for malicious prosecution and unlawful arrest.

  1. The only sad thing about this is the real terrorist are still in their squad cars out there terrorizing more citizens and when she sues these thug criminal bastards it is tax dollars that will bail them out. its only going to get worse because when these approved gang members do things like this its simply business as usual. I’m amazed that they didn’t plant shit and frame her so she is very lucky. Wonder how the so called good cops think about this kind of thing,an unfortunate mistake I suppose, anything to justify what they have done! Are they going after all the little kids that eat spaghettios too?

  2. A friend of mine was arrested for a spoon in his van. Couldn’t believe it: drug paraphernalia. Guess it better be a plastic spoon, or else. Although, years ago McD’s had coffee stirrers with little spoon shaped ends, and they were used for cocaine.
