YouTube gets a new look
We want you to know we’ve made some changes to YouTube.
You come to YouTube for everything: entertainment, news, how-to tutorials, live concerts, music, and more. Many of you have learned the secret to making it even better – find the channels you love and subscribe. But it wasn’t always easy to do that. Last year, we took a step forward when we introduced the Guide on the homepage—a way to keep up with new videos from your favorite channels.
Today, we’re introducing features that will allow you to see that Guide all over the site. You’ll also find the Guide wherever you watch YouTube, whether it’s on your mobile phone, tablet, game console or connected TV. Now, we recommend new channels you might want to check out, and we’re making it easier to share what you’re watching with your friends and vice versa. We want you to organize YouTube around what you like and care about the most, and subscribing to channels is the best way to do that.
We’re also giving YouTube’s look a refresh. In the new layout, the video display is cleaner and more prominent, and you can now browse for other videos while you watch.
