I had this idea had I been the winner. I would have framed the shirt, held onto it for say 6 months, then sent it to Henry for him to hang for 6 months. Then Henry hangs it and sends it on to whomever he chooses. Point is, the patriot shirts hangs out in a patriot house and like the signatures, makes its way around the United states. It was a thought. Something for everyone to enjoy. Just thinking out loud. 🙂
Thanks Martist! I’m not familiar with flat Stanley, but I do believe in sharing. We’ve got a great big family here at the trenches, and we all care for each other, as if we were all sitting in the same living room (without big uncle al foofing in the corner), would be cool if the shirt took a tour around the U.S.
Haha True story, Deb. Flat Stanley is a paper man school children mail around the world to each other and write stories about his experiences. My kids sent him to Mainz, Germany to visit our friends there. At least it wasn’t mexico?
Yes, I called him after I posted my comment. He couldn’t believe it, was shocked, and tickled pink. (“Tickled pink” is my interpretation of his response. He would never say that. LOL 🙂 I would also say that he was “giddy”.) I told him about the comments I had seen at that point (6:28 pm). He will definitely say something in the comments, when he can. 😉 🙂
Sorry for taking so long to comment here, but once I hit the road with AC/DC (ALWAYS first up), Stones, Bowie, Scorpions, Hendrix (hadn’t listened to that one for a while), Doors, etc., etc., etc… I pretty much drive till I can’t anymore.
