AT&T is loading iPhones with emergency alerts from Barack Obama…
That you can’t switch off.

AT&T has begun rolling out Wireless Emergency Alerts updates for iPhone 4S and 5, so you won’t be the last folks to know if the entire northern hemisphere is about to be covered in ice à la Day After Tomorrow.
You’ll receive a notification from the carrier when your update is ready, but only if you’re using iOS 6.1 or higher.
Once installed, AMBER and Emergency alerts are automatically sent to your phone unless you switch them off via Settings. However, should you be tired of Obama, just know that there’s no way to switch off Presidential alerts.
So now Barack can track your calls and send you messages, too.
Well … he can just leave a message! I turned my ringer off!! BTW, just so you know, I have AT&T and every time I get a phone call, even if I don’t answer it, I get charged! Obama be makin’ more money!!

I guess a person must really need their cell phone to put up with that crap. I don’t have a cell phone, but if I did it would be in pieces real quick if I ever got an Obama message that I couldn’t shut off, and they’d be crazy to think I’d ever pay the bill.
That’s just outrageous. Stuff your iPhone… I wouldn’t have one for free.
My old candy bar style cell phone from year 2000 is used for emergencies only. I never use it otherwise. My ringer stays off. If one needs to call me that bad, they can leave a message.

They’re not a bad idea. I always wanted one to leave in the glove compartment in case I broke down somewhere strange, but either the minutes expire, or there’s a monthly bill, so they didn’t serve that purpose well for me.

I know what you mean by those damned cell phones, I never thought that myself or most other people are that important that they have got to have a damned phone with them where ever they go. I have been thinking, however, about getting one of those disposible gas station ones to put in the glove box of my car just in case I would break down somewhere in the winter or some place way out in the country myself also.
Breaking News! I have insider knowledge of the exact Presidential Alert message that you can’not turn off, it says:
This is a national emergency. All electricity and water is now under the control of Homeland Security. Please evacuate your homes and board the secure dark blue buses that will be in your area shortly. For those of us who prefer not to be burdened by an always-on, always-near mobile phone it may soon be illegal to keep ourselves outside-of-contact. So don’t even think about it. That would be thoughtcrime.

Now you can go get the fema camp kml the bouy kml, the earthquake kml, weather kml , chemtrail reports kml, Lots of Stuff, right there in your faces. Even just people reporting in of stuff they saw if you like that.. (if your removed your google accounts and all that, this stuff still works, just stay away from JAVA (unless you really know what app and what your doing/ and it’s like you install JAVA, run the app, quit the app, and UNINSTALL JAVA) and that google EARTH plugin, stay away, unless your a VM with a roll back. Use other search engines, but if you have to see a god damn picture of a certain model item you want to buy from someone, dig through their images and find it, who cares, you need to know, so you know it’s value by seeing what the model number is (also for repairs, part numbers if they are destroyed on your stuff, or your just confused)
So, they’re now spying on me and saving it, but all their data is going to be now on is using this tool (without JAVA). That’s all I do now, CSPAN, Popvox, headlines, and keep track of the disasters through this shell thingy. I bet a dedicated hack could buffer hack me for some political mayhem on a bad day.
