Cesium-137 Found in Strawberries, Mushrooms And More In Northern California–Including Baby Food!

Before It’s News – Zen Gardner

Wow– take a look at what they found in the food in California.  This is certainly not surprising but is still a real wake-up call.  Even if you do not live in California, a good portion of your produce may come from there.  These food items are shipped all over the US and probably exported, as well.  They have already discovered that all the bluefin tuna caught in California is radioactive.  There are a lot of foods that are not even being tested.  We cannot depend on the government or any other organization to make our food choices.  We have to take matters into our own hands.  It seems, right now, that only safe way to eat, if you choose to live in the US, and particularly the West Coast, is to grow your own with organic soil in a protected green house or even underground (see here for instructions how to build one).  This is very important information.  Please pass this on.

Here are the results of a small sample food testing done a th University of California Berkeley:

UCB Food Chain Sampling Results, University of California, Berkeley Department of Nuclear Engineering:

Six items were tested: spinach, strawberries, cilantro, topsoil, grass, and mushrooms. Measured in Becquerel per kilogram.

Wild Mushrooms, Collected April 2 in Alameda, CA:

I131 @ 8.4 Bq/kg
Cs134 @ .63 Bq/kg
Cs137 @ .47 Bq/kg

Strawberries, “Best By” Date of April 1, Location Unknown :

I131@ 2.5 Bq/kg
Cs134 @ .69 Bq/kg
Cs137 @ .67 Bq/kg

Grass, Collected April 3 in Alameda, CA:

I131 @ 9.8 Bq/kg
Cs134 @ 6.9 Bq/kg
Cs137 @ 6.9 Bq/kg

Spinach, “Best By” Date of April 8, Location Unknown:

I131 @ 2.8 Bq/kg

Topsoil, Collected April 6 in Alameda, CA:

I131 @ 12.5 Bq/kg
Cs134 @ .99 Bq/kg
Cs137 @ 1.5 Bq/kg

No radionuclides were found in Cilantro from an unknown location

Read the report here.

For infants the FDA set the level of concern at 55 Bq/kg of Iodine-131.

Guidance Levels for Radionuclides in Domestic and Imported Foods, Food and Drug Administration, July 2004:

  1. Hey Mark have been screening all food. if from ca. i don’t buy it. no seafood whatsoever, from anywhere. I miss shrimp, and white tuna the most.

  2. Well now, not only do we have to worry about GMOs in our foods, we now have to worry about radiation contaminating our foods.

Somehow I don’t feel any safer eating in the U.S. as I did when I was eating in China. Half the time in China, you don’t even know what you’re eating. You just close your eyes, put it in your mouth and pray to God you live to see another day.

Hell, just ask them about their tainted baby milk scandals. No one in China will buy baby milk and do whatever it takes to buy only milk imported from America or some other country for fear that their child’s head will morph into a giant mushroom, the size of a bowling ball by the time they turn the age of 5. It’s both sad and scary.

  3. It’s not just in CA food. This stuff is rolling across America. It’s a deliberate genocide that’s been planned since the 1950’s.

Be sure to watch that video I posted with Leuren Moret. She’s an independent scientist out of Berkeley, CA.
    . . .

  4. Ironically, I was just dispatched to Texas earlier today . I’m currently in the state of Washington. I’m loading 42,000 pounds of seafood from the Seattle area into the largest state in the union. I guess they won’t have any problems seeing me coming. I’ll be the guy with the slight orange glow aura around my truck. I sure could use JD’s detectors right about now.

Man do I feel like schmuck……
