Is Mike Beilstein an anti American communist? He studies marxism lectures on YouTube, has a picture of him standing next to a Che Guevara statue in Cuba, and posted a video of himself playing the Cuban national anthem on ukelele. Furthermore, I dug up several quotes from him, such as “There’s some things we can do to get rid of jobs… such as a high minimum wage… or a citywide payroll tax”… “…Increase employment, increase jobs, increase wealth… I think overall this harms the community… The goal of economic development should be to create greater equity…”… “The real terrorism is being carried out by this country”… He also thanks us peons for paying into the state retirement system so that he could retire early. In a Gazette Times interview, he pompously declares that he is right about economics, and says wealth is an “antiquated concept”… “We don’t need to be wealthier, we need to be fairer”. On a candidates page, he refers to “capitalist exploiters”.
If you are unemployed in Corvallis, know that Mike Beilstein is your enemy and wants to ensure that you stay poor and helpless, while somehow paying into the retirement system so that he doesn’t have to work and has free time to preach his anti capitalist, anti American philosophy.
