DHS To Purchase MORE Firearms As Arms Build-Up Intensifies

Infowars – by Paul Joseph Watson

Just days after announcing a 5-year, $4.5 million contract with Heckler & Koch, the Department of Homeland Security has released details of an identical agreement with weapons manufacturer Sig Sauer, as Forbes publishes an article calling for a “national conversation” about the DHS arms build-up that has been dismissed by the media as a conspiracy theory.

A solicitation for a no bid contract posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website contains details of a DHS agreement with Sig Sauer to provide weapons parts under the remit of a $900,000 dollar a year contract set to run for five years.

The PDF document accompanying the solicitation is virtually identical to an agreement announced last week for Heckler & Koch to provide firearms replacement parts for the exact same fee and time period.

Despite our article drawing attention to the fact that the supposedly “redacted” figure of $4.5 million on the original agreement with Heckler & Koch was in fact visible, the same error appears in the Sig Sauer agreement, suggesting that only the name has been changed.

Although controversy surrounding the DHS’ purchase of some 2 billion rounds of ammunition has dominated concerns about the federal government’s apparent arms build up, the DHS also purchased 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles last September.

Despite the fact that some mainstream media outlets and leftist websites have tried to downplay concerns about the arms build up as paranoid conspiracy theories, the influential Forbes Magazine today features an article by Ralph Benko asking if the issue should become a “national conversation.”

“At the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. 1.6 billion rounds, therefore, would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America,” states the article.

“Why, indeed, should the federal government not be deploying armored personnel carriers and stockpiling enough ammo for a 20-year war in the homeland? Because it’s wrong in every way,” writes Benko.

Not according to the likes of Media Matters, Huffington Post, the Atlantic Wire and others, all of which claimed the issue was “debunked” merely because a DHS spokesperson told the Associated Press that the ammo buys were made in bulk to “save money” on training bullets. As Benko points out, the federal agency has bought enough bullets to last for a century of target practice.

In reality, most of the bullets purchased by the agency are hollow point rounds, which are more expensive than standard training bullets and therefore unsuitable for target practice. Last week, former Marine Richard Mason told reporters with WHPTV News in Pennsylvania, “We never trained with hollow points, we didn’t even see hollow points my entire four and a half years in the Marine Corps.”

Those outlets reporting that the issue had been explained also failed to clarify how a single quotation from a representative of the very government agency being scrutinized could possibly mean that the matter had been adequately investigated and “debunked.”

More arms more ammo.I was out last weekend and there are plenty of guns for sale, even AR-15′s if you want to pay the price. The ammo is the problem at this point.I am trying to order some supplys and it’s uncertain when it will be avalable.Guns without ammo?Well maybe baseball bats will be in plenty.

    • Jolly Roger says:

I think the government is buying all the ammo we’ll need, as long as you have a few bullets to get started.

    • NC says:

I’m thinking the same thing, Redhorse. Without ammo, the guns are just a paperweight. This is why I yell at anyone stupid enough to say, “I don’t have enough ammo to practice.”

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PRACTICING AND WASTING AMMO FOR WHEN WE HAVE A SHORTAGE!!!??? SAVE IT FOR WHEN IT COUNTS!! Use something else for target practice. If you don’t know how to shoot by now, then it’s your loss. Don’t screw the rest of us because you have to waste ammo trying to become the next Clint Eastwood in a matter of months.

These kind of people completely go against any kind of logic. What good is practicing, if you don’t have anything to shoot with when the time comes?? Are they stupid???

I tell everyone who do find some ammo, that if they do want to practice, to not use the whole damn box, but to just use 10 or 20 rounds of it at the most in order to get the feel for it and then save the rest. There’s absolutely NO REASON to waste an entire box at this point in time for practice. We the people need every bullet we can get our hands for when the time comes.

      SAVE IT!! DON’T SHOOT IT!!!

  2. Legal Eagle says:

The Federal government is actively preparing to go to war with the American people and have been actively preparing for it for years now.

  3. Jolly Roger says:

I think there’s an ammo shortage for the same reason there’s a gun shortage (yes, although they are available, the prices tripled, and that usually indicates a short supply). They’re both in the hands of the people in great quantities, and that’s where they belong.
Look at all the guns that were just sold. All of those people picked up all the ammo they could get too, and most people probably have a lot more than they’ll ever shoot.
Another possibility is that this is a very temporary shortage, because the new ammo prices and built-in demand will probably inspire a few entrepreneurs to go into the ammo business real soon.

  4. REDHORSE says:

You’re right JR, the yellow brick road is NOT made of gold but rather brass.I think we should send the gov a thank you note for all the ammo they will be supplying.I’m not saying it will be a cake walk, far from it but at least we know where to look.

  5. Brandon says:

I’m sure there is not much sand left in the hour glass by now. A lot of things are going to turn south pretty soon. Most importantly keep your Father in prayer.

  6. Dave says:

These gun & ammo purchases are done intentionally to instill fear in us.
    Don’t let it.
Listed below is some info that will make you instantly realize they haven’t a chance of dictating to us or installing a true tyranny upon the US public.
The following list shows how many deer hunters there are in just these states listed.

    LEADING FIREARM STATES
    (Licensed Resident Gun Hunters)
    Pennsylvania 1,000,000
    Michigan 675,000
    Wisconsin 656,164
    New York 643,534
    Texas 570,000

    http://www.huntingpa.com/Deer%20stats.html

Keep in mind that hunters are only about 16% of gun owners!
Now, you tell me what group of a hundred thousand DHS slobs (if they even have that many) will wish to screw with that many men with high power rifles in just those states?
Now add all the other states.
We are many, they are few, they fear us.

Could ‘patriots’ be getting set up buy Homeland Security for bombing? http://occupycorporatism.com/msm-warns-patriot-anti-gov-groups-planning-2nd-oklahoma-city-bombing/

Remember all that explosives that DHS acquired? http://naturalsociety.com/tsa-dhs-order-1400-pounds-of-high-powered-explosives/

DHS To Purchase MORE Firearms As Arms Build-Up Intensifies?
If they are the same like the intellectually handicaped retarded monkeys working for the TSA? You don’t have to worry much!

  9. # 1 NWO Hatr says:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: they can stockpile all the ammo they want to, the fact remains that they STILL don’t have the numbers to use it all

Having it is one thing, being able to utilize it is another.

    • Henry Shivley says:

I think they plan to bring foreigners in and fill their hands with those weapons. Not that this scares me at all, just making sure everyone understands.
We will acquire this ordinance which belongs to us from the mobile resupply units. Strip them down to their skins, take everything, and wrap anything electronic in aluminum foil until it can be tested for tracking devises. And if these are found, they are not necessarily to be destroyed, as a controlled tracking of that devise could be made into an advantageous situation.
In short, any foreigners who come to our country to disarm us, die, every damn one of them.

      • NC says:

I completely agree with you, Henry. The UN troops with Russia, China and Mexico will soon be coming into our country (if they haven’t done so already) and DHS will give them all of the weapons, clearly knowing that they won’t have enough man power to stop us all. It’s all a part of getting us to submit to a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.

As I always say, if they speak with an accent and don’t know the capital of your state, then shoot ‘em on the spot.

Hell, I wouldn’t even ask them that question anymore, since they and our foreign government (who is reading are comments on alternative media sites) have probably figured out by now that we will be asking that question to them and will be already prepared to answer it. So make up a question that you know they will not be prepared to answer but that is easy enough for any dumb-down American to know. If they can’t answer it, SHOOT ‘em!! Plain and simple. One less foreign insurgent to worry about.

And don’t forget to take their gear! It helps with the morale and your increase of supplies as stated in Sun Tzu’s “Art of War”.

      • # 1 NWO Hatr says:

I have no problem with killing ANY enemies of the U.S. patriots, whether domestic OR foreign.
