VAL VERDE COUNTY, Tex. (INTELLIHUB) — At around 1:30 p.m. local police were dispatched to a local convenience store after receiving reports that an angry man was wielding a machete, threatening customers.
When police arrived the man, a trucker, was already inside his big rig.
When the man attempted to run down police on the scene an unknown number of officers open fired on the man through the glass and side of the 18-wheeler.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene shortly after.
According to reports police suffered no injuries.

Shoot to kill shoot again and again and say you where in fear for your life.
Cops are just killers. They could have shot tires, air brakes lines, fuel tank or lines, his leg, or not have shoot at all. Maybe use a Taser.
As long as the courts say you are in the right to kill someone as long as you fear for you life.
Hell just go ahead and kill people.

Probably got caught highjacking somebody elses’ trailer or was trying to steal a rig. Obviously we are only hearing 1/10 of the whole story here.
Whatever the story he was murdered. Drivers are pushed hard to deliver and if caught over hours, subsequently punished beyond belief.
I dont understand where the “authority” to shoot people in the street comes from. I guess I have the power to do that too…
I do agree that shooting out tires and radiator would be a better idea. And 3 Congresional hearings have found that the American police treat American truck drivers worse than any other group in America. So He may thinking of that had good reason to run over the police. Would have been ahead finding that out. A unprotected group just used for revenue and to F with by the American police. In disputes they can not rely on the police as they know in advance the American police enjoy to the MAX. Just screwing them over for fun and profit.

O you are right most cops are so fat they would have not be able to get out of the way in time.
I see so many times the cops say the person they shot was “attempting to run them over”. That’s getting to be a TOTAL BULLSH*T LINE like: “FEARED FOR HIS LIFE” as justification for cops shooting someone.
The “NEW” cliche: “HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO RUN ME OVER”. That just happened in SEVERAL other shootings, the exact same phrase “HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO RUN ME OVER”.
