Hands down one of their funniest skits.
My brother saw them do this live at the Hollywood Bowl. He said Cleese walked on stage with the birdcage, and the audience went wild with laughter.
It was too much for poor John. He burst out into gales of laughter right along with the crowd. Needless to say, it took a while for him to compose himself.
Love Monty Python. Have every episode on dvd – boxed set.
Also, when I saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace (a couple of years before I found out what ‘royalty’ was really all about) they played the Monty Python theme song. Had me LMAO. 😆
I’ll always have a warm spot for them …
The Holy Grail had many great moments too.
