Rand Paul: Time for Millions of Americans to Sue the Government

randpauldudeCapitalism Institute

Rand Paul has been at the very front lines in the defense of liberty and our constitutional rights for the last couple of years. He’s taken on leadership of both parties, with an emphasis on stopping the president’s constant onslaught of unconstitutional policies.

Now, Rand Paul is saying that he’s going to likely sue the federal government over the Obama-sanctioned theft of our emails, Facebook messages, search histories, credit card information, and more. His goal is to unite internet companies, individuals, and organizations in one massive class-action lawsuit against the feds with millions of Americans standing up.

If there’s one thing Sen. Paul has shown, it’s that he’s not afraid of anyone — in any party or organization — when it comes to sticking for what he believes is right. This is the next logical step. Senator Paul explains:

“I’m going to be asking all the Internet providers and all of the phone companies: Ask your customers to join me in a class-action lawsuit. If we get 10 million Americans saying we don’t want our phone records looked at, then maybe someone will wake up and something will change in Washington.”

This is exactly the kind of movement we must get behind. Let’s take it to the Supreme Court. It’s time to stop protesting and start taking the fight to the court system. That’s why we have courts in the first place.

As Rand explained further:

“That doesn’t look like a modest invasion of privacy… I have no problem if you have probable cause … but we’re talking about trolling through a billion phone records a day.”

His position is obvious. If you have probable cause that someone is a terrorist, feel free to take all of their data with a warrant. But don’t you dare violate the rights of 300,000,000 peaceful Americans. That’s unconstitutional and illegal.

    1. The trouble with Troll the NSA’s plan is that it will be easy to add computer code to simply ignore the string of characters in the proposed message. A much more effective tact would be for everyone to send an email to someone they know that contain various “hot” words like “bomb” “anthrax” and “assassinate” etc.

  1. Wouldn’t 20 million individual lawsuits be better than one class action lawsuit that would be promptly flushed down the commode?

The government would have to hire several hundred thousand attorneys to deal with 20 million separate lawsuits whereas a hand full of attorneys could handle one class action suit. I would like to see summons and complaint templates that individuals could use to file suit circulated on the internet so we could flood the feds with paper.

    1. Right you are there, Mark. It’s like getting together to have everyone send the same exact crazy email on the same exact day in order to try and mess up the NSA. They will just put their protection or block in place for that one email.

What people don’t understand is that we must fight this in multiple, separate groups (like militias) so that they will be so overwhelmed that they will fall due to the lack of resources available to stop us.

Stop putting all your eggs in one basket. The key is to overwhelm them on multiple fronts. Not just one that can be spit on and easily swept under the rug.

One class action lawsuit from thousands of individuals will not make a damn bit of difference as it comes down to one person fighting another person who represents those thousands of people. In the end, it is a one on one battle, rather than a 10,000 against 1 battle.

  2. This would all sound good — if it wasn’t coming from a sellout who endorsed Adolf “Bomb Iran” Romney, a candidate who is just as bad as Obushma.

Given that, the entire class-action lawsuit may be about getting a list of people who need to be disappeared (anyone signing on to it).

It’s not like it’ll actually get to court, the case will be dismissed on classified reasons of national security.

  3. We’re all circling the Evil Source of the Problem, the Federal Reserve & the Elitist Hoard…..Web-up the members, board of directors, investors & EXPOSE THEM RELENTLESSLY—–March on for Freedom & Liberty

  4. “If we get 10 million Americans saying we don’t want our phone records looked at, then maybe someone will wake up and something will change in Washington.”

LOL. Sure, Rand. They will “wake up” in Washington, and we will all live happily ever after. This guy is just another political con man.

  5. Rand Paul, let’s see now, is this the same Rand Paul who stabbed his own father in the back. As far as we know, maybe both Rand and Ron were just playing their roles in the government “soap opera”.

    1. Wouldn`t suprise me none. Hell, this all might just be part of their game plan, ya know, like that backstabbing rand did to his dad.

  6. I love Rand Paul. He will make all our problems go away. He will part the Red Sea and make all the roses smell wonderful. He will take away all of the pain and hopelessness in the world. He will bless all the children of the world and take us all back to Never Never Land and save us from ourselves. God bless Rand Paul.

…….and then I stopped taking my anti-depressant, mind control medicine and woke up.

    OH SHIT!

    lol

  7. Regarding the lawsuit … I’m in! Where do we start? Who do we talk to? Let’s get this thing rolling across the country!!

    . . .

    1. Sorry, Cath. It won’t happen because it’s not meant to happen. It’s only a distraction. Smoke and mirrors kind of stuff.

      1. NC is right, else the link you asked for would be posted.

Besides, the courts (and Rand Paul, for that matter) are owned and operated by the banksters.

What are we left to do if voting and suing doesn’t work?
