WNDThe executive director of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government warn that Washington’s weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was only a move to distract attention and diffuse tensions, because a raid on the family’s ranch still is planned.
And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Graham County, Ariz.
“I don’t think it would be possible” to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. “I don’t think the Bundys would lie down and be taken.”
He cited the vow by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the confrontation was far from over, despite the weekend’s retreat by armed gunmen working for federal agencies.
Reid on Monday told KRNV-TV in Reno: “It’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”
The grazing-land conflict has been developing for decades.
Cliven Bundy, who ranches in Clark County, and members of his extended family have grazed cattle on land there for more than a century. He stopped paying federal grazing fees years ago, contending his operation existed before the federal government was there.
But the standoff reached a boiling point one week ago as hundreds of federal agents and allies surrounded Bundy’s ranch and were faced with citizen resistance, both armed and unarmed.
The Associated Press said the U.S. Bureau of Land Management decided over the weekend to stop rounding up Bundy’s cattle and release animals agents already had seized.
BLM chief Neil Kornze said in a statement: “Based on information about conditions on the ground and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concerns about the safety of employees and members of the public.”
Mack, a longtime sheriff, told WND that Reid’s statements are beyond the pale.
“That kind of stupidity, where he puts federal regulations and policies of bureaucrats ahead of a family in his state that has done no wrong or committed a crime,” Mack said.
He charged that it is Reid who is destroying his own state’s ranching industry as well as the U.S. Constitution. The sheriff chided the senator for making statements about abiding by laws.
“Isn’t that amazing? The biggest crook in Washington,” Mack said.
On the issue of a raid, he said: “That’s what we have heard. It’s not confirmed. People we had on the inside told us the BLM still is considering raiding the Bundy ranch. We’re going to keep in touch with them, protect them, pray for them.”
Details that are uncovered will be posted on the CSPOA website, he said.
Mack said his organization is part of an effort to save America.
“Yes, America is in deep, deep trouble. The good news is that there is hope,” Mack said. “We do not have to stand by and watch while America is destroyed from within. If our counties, cities, and states and all local officers keep their oaths to protect us from tyranny, we can win this battle to take our country back.”
As WND reported, an estimated 200 armed officers of the BLM had been deployed to Bundy’s property in Bunkerville, Nev., 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, charging the rancher has been in violation of a law that aims to protect an endangered desert tortoise. The BLM also said Bundy owes more than $1 million in grazing fees to the federal government.
But Bundy found support from the governor and other prominent political leaders along with a host of protesters from other states, including fellow cattle ranchers and private armed militias.
A Montana militia member, Jim Lardy, told KLAS-TV in Las Vegas his group, Operation Mutual Aid, was prepared to “provide armed response.”
He said he was not afraid to shoot, if necessary.
“They have guns. We need guns to protect ourselves from the tyrannical government,” Lardy said.
Other militia members were joining him, he said: “There is many more coming.”
Nevada’s Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval said the federal government’s tactics allowed the tensions to nearly erupt in armed violence.
“No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans,” Sandoval said. “The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly.”
Cliven Bundy’s son, Ammon Bundy, told WND earlier that federal authorities had not been merely relocating the cattle but were engaged in actions that killed some animals.
“They are flying helicopters over the herd to chase them,” Ammon Bundy said. “It was over 90 degrees here today, and the cattle can’t run very far in this heat before collapsing. This is especially true for the young calves. We have a lot of them being born because it is springtime, and they don’t have the strength to keep up with their mothers when they are running. The cattle then become overheated and die.”
Cliven Bundy is the last rancher operating in Clark County, where he’s been grazing his cattle on a 600,000-acre portion of land managed by the BLM called Gold Butte. His family, whose ties to the land go back to the 1880s, has been engaged in a dispute since 1993 with the Bureau of Land Management over long-established cattle-grazing rights.
After years of wrangling in the courts, BLM last week secured a federal court order declaring Bundy’s herd to be “trespass cattle” and began removing the animals.
Ammon Bundy said he was with a group of about 50 people “peacefully protesting the removal of the cattle” when “suddenly, 14 units with Rangers came off the mountain – 13 of them were armed ranger vehicles with two rangers per unit.”
He said the protesters went over to see what was in a dump truck, “because we were afraid this might have been a rendering vehicle, and we wanted to know what was in the back of the truck.”
The rangers got out of their vehicles and the conflict escalated, he said.
“Things got pretty ugly for awhile. They threw a 65-year-old woman on the ground, they tased me twice and they had dogs out there.”

Many of you have read my evaluation of this situation shortly after the Federal-Terrorists,.. “backed down”.
This is not the end-play of this Fed-mugging of another American,… its just the begining.
In addition to what they will be planning for a reprisal here,.. they (the Fed-Terrorists) are also developing the template on how to deal with this kind of refusal by Americans, for future thefts.
What should be occuring at the Bundy location right now is,.. Preparation,.. Preparation,.. Preparation!
They should be planning the response to Swift-Teams (SWAT, ATF, DHS, etc) who may try to sweep in at zero-dark thrity hours to take them while sleeping ( and use their NVG’s as a tactical advantage).
They should be preparing “pop-up” locations also,… holes that have a camoflage-cover that they can cover and conceal in,.. especially for snipers to take out Fed Terrorists when they go in to kill,… which will be feds mandate in the next round of attack.
Preparations should also be made to utilize, “unconventional” implements, devices, traps, and kill box zones.
They should be prepared for a seige type encounter, meaning they need to stock pile some basic logistical support materials, including food and water,… and,.. medical supplies, including personal who know how to treat the kind on injuries that will be sustained.
If they have have comm-wire,… they need to run hard wire comm to observation points (which should be camo’d) so there is no “broadcast” EMF to intercept or to DF (Directionally Find).
In short,.. they need to prepare like it is a war zone,.. because it is.
They need to adapt a military mindset in what to expect, and how to prepare to counter it.
They need to creative in their thinking to reduce predictability.
They need to prepare their minds,… make peace with God,.. and ask for divine help.
They need to understand,.. when the Feds come next time,.. negotiations,.. a peaceful outcome, a agreeable settlement is NOT what these Federal-Terrorists will have in mind. They will be there to kill,.. period.
Our brothers and sisters down there need to understand,… when the Fed-Terrorists cross that line, and fire the first shot,… “NO QUARTER” must be the rule of engagment.
These Fed-Terrorists MUST be wiped out to the last.

From my point of observation,.. I can not say with any certainty what the factual truth of the moment is,.. I can only speculate as best as my experience, knowledge and understanding of the circumstances will permit.

Perhaps the Feds have decided to walk away from this,.. for the time being,.. let the dust settle,… and then go back to seize this land via other means and ways in the coming months.

One thing we should remember guys is that this time it was the BLM. They are amateurs. They will most assuredly send in the FBI and BATF on the next round. One should study tapes of Ruby Ridge and Waco and the FBI playbook. The BLM are pussies compared to the other alphabet groups. Great care and caution should be taken in any next step planning. The reason they are backing off, I would think, is for them to gather their teems and and make a plan that makes it look like they had no choice to go back in. They will blow it of course but who knows what really swirls around in their demented minds.

if they kill the old man, (heart attack, or cancer, to make it look innocent), then they’ll be able to pay off the daughter and get what they want peaceably, which will be much more profitable for them in the long run, even though they’ll have to wait a little longer for it. The feds retreated honorably by getting the daughter to turn it into a peaceful protest, and that prevented the entire country from seeing the government run away from the militia, which would have been worse than if they were actually slaughtered by the militia (they would have sacrificed the BLM guys to prevent being seen as running away) THAT act (of them running away) would have emboldened millions of Americans who are presently of the “it’s futile to resist” mindset, and resulted in new militia groups all across the country. That would have created thousands of new problems for them in the future. They’re aware of the militias that exist now, and they try to avoid them, but if there were too many of them, they couldn’t operate at all.
Until one of these types of incidents…Nevada Ranch, Waco, Ruby ridge….is actually ended by a sitting State Governor, and a County Sheriff, working together, and coming on the scene, armed,unanounced,fully ready to give their lives, if needed, and arrests these feds, whom ever they are,FBI included, AND Cuffs them, and takes them to jail and prosecutes them with the law, Not Much Is Going To Change In WASH DC…..When is this going to happen? I do believe however that more people in this country are now more emboldened because the feds backed off because of the numbers of people that stood against the FEDS. Peaceful or not I think more Americans will will now stand up against the government because they now see it can make a difference.
JMO, but Reid the rot has said it isn’t over, and I’d take him at his word on that one since the money has already passed hands over and under the table, $4.5 million for land worth $38.6 million, and who knows how much more covered up. As you know, when a business deal is done in the organized crime world and one side doesn’t make good, then someone has to pay, in their terms.
I guess time will tell.
All of the options presented here are possible, and none of us has enough information to know for sure (that’s why we speculate), but as much as I feel that it’s over, being prepared for it to continue is never a mistake.
