The Multi-Billion Dollar Total Surveillance System Doesn’t Seem to be Working

What Really Happened – by Michael Rivero

Obama insists that secret surveillance helps prevent terrorist attacks. Boston proved this claim is false.

Indeed, I have to wonder, with all the phone calls and internet traffic being monitored since 2006, why aren’t American drug lords being arrested?

Why wasn’t the Wall Street Mortgage-backed securities fraud stopped in its tracks? And failing that, why are no Wall Street executives being arrested given that even Wall Street workers admit fraud and criminality are rampant? More people are dying from Wall Street’s crimes than from terror attacks. Why no arrests?

Why does the government insist it cannot find the authors of those so-called “Muslim” terror websites?

If the government can monitor phone calls to reporters, why aren’t they catching all of the bribery going on on Capitol Hill?

Why didn’t the government expose the climategate hoax in 2009 with their superior access to the computer records of those involved? Why did it take private citizens to expose that hoax?

We are told there is an epidemic of perverts soliciting children for sex online. That multi-billion dollar total surveillance system doesn’t seem to have put a dent in that problem. The Catholic Church carried out a global campaign of suppression over the pedophile clergy scandal. That multi-billion dollar total surveillance system didn’t expose that for the world to see!

This multi-billion dollar total surveillance system should have brought some of the worst problems afflicting our society to an absolute dead standstill, but it has not. It is not only a massive violation of the Constitution; it doesn’t seem to have yet produced any beneficial results at all!

Unless, of course, the government has no interest in stopping drug traffickers, Wall Street and DC corruption, climate hoaxers, pedophile clergy and other perverts, or even the bozos flooding our email boxes with Viagra ads, and this multi-billion dollar total surveillance system exists solely to keep you from complaining about the crimes, the corruption, the hoaxes, etc.

So we are down to a simple choice. Is this multi-billion dollar total surveillance system a complete and utter failure, or is the government on the side of the criminals, the corrupters, the drug lords, the cyber-criminals, etc.?

Take your pick!

  1. A rational, logical observation that every American should be able to conclude. Unfortunately, the average American is too busy with mundane distractions to think critically about important issues which affect their freedoms. Bread and circus indeed.

    1. Good!…..it would be better than what we have now……
In its present condition/we dont need this phrikken govt. i say good riddance to them all. hang ’em high down penn. ave.

  2. Excellent article. These are all questions everyone should be asking. It’s straightforward and to the point and if we are to use the government’s terminology back at them, it makes “common sense”! What happened to “Common sense” legislation and enforcement?

Oh that’s right. It only applies to the innocent and not the guilty. I see how it is.
